go to the BIOS settings find SATA hard disk enable/disable (should be disable), OR if it is showing something different like SATA , PATA, IDE....then u have to change SATA to IDE save and exit from BIOS,run the setup again. good luck.....

Check if this is plugged into the board properly. You may need to disassemble the laptop if the fan is loose. If it was working faintly a while before, and now it completely not working, it may be because the fan is clustered with dirt and dust. i experienced the same problem.i fixed it by installing the correct audio drivers.however the inbuilt mic wont work if you dont have vista.

Windows 7 cannot be compressed in CD because the size of Windows 7 is 4.5 GB, So Windows 7 comes in DVD. You should install a DVD Drive and then try installing Windows 7.

OK, I figure out a way to solve this problem. This seems to occur only on those multiple processors systems. I have both a quad processors and duo processors systems. This is how you fix the problem. Open Facebook and go to Cafe World, then open Task Manager, you will notice the memory spike up for iexplorer.exe and resulting your Cafe World running really slow. Right click on it and select Set Affinity. You will see all the number of CPU on your system checked. You ONLY need one check. Select which CPU you want to run Cafe World. After you do that, you will notice your Cafe World run smoothly and fast. You might have to do this everytime you run Cafe World. Hope this help for those who love to play Cafe World. Now go cook, cook and cook......hahahahaha

I assume that you have installed Windows XP on your system. Follow the below mentioned steps to install the Audio Drivers.

Before installing audio drivers, you have to install Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition
First you have to install the Microsoft UAA package. Click here OR here to download UAA

Then download Compaq C700 Audio Drivers and install them. I hope this would install the drivers. Else, go to the Device Manager and update the sound drivers from the folder named sp33867 located at C:
