try other disc.if other disc working fine. some disc no play then there is problem lens assy.

works on the BDP 2700 - turn on player without disc. push home button(looks like a house) on remote. enter 1389310 using remote. wait 10 sec then turn off at front of player. wait 10 sec then turn on at front of player.I believe the 7200 is not able to be unlocked for region free play though

The laser pickup is failing and is approaching end of life, the CD disc requires less speed and precision than the DVD applications, far cheaper to replace with a new player.

Either its loading motor or loading belt is faulty.

1. Make sure there is no disc in the tray when you switch on.
2. Press "home" key on remote control.
3. Enter number "1389310".
4. Switch off. Wait a few seconds and then switch on...now region free.

default passwords are usually 0000/1111/1234 etc. try looking in the users manual for the starting code.

password to play a prohibited disc or if
prompted for a password. The same
default password is used for both
Parental and Disc Lock.
A In ‘Preference Page’, press 􀁓 􀁔 to select
{ Password }, then press 􀁘 to select
{ Change }.
B Press OK and the menu appears on the
TV screen.

C Use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 to
enter the six-digit password.
􀃎 When doing this for the fi rst time,
enter the default password ‘136900’.
􀁺 If you forget your old six-digit password,

Remove the cover on the back of the tv. Look for swollen or leaking capacitors. They kinda look like batteries. If they are bulging or leaking then that is your problem. You will have to de-solder the old ones off. Then solder the new capacitors onto the circuit board. Capacitors will cost about 20 dollars and installing them isn't that hard to do. It will fix your tv 99% of the time. So it is worth a try!

I'm assuming that you have checked that the sound is not muted. To confirm that a reset to factory settings is the next procedure: Menu - Setup - General - Factory settings. If you don't see/hear any modifications then it's a hardware defect, not something with the settings.
This happens when the tv thinks that the headphones are used. Simple test to confirm that: plug in a pair of speakers and see if you get the sound on them. If you get and the situation doesn't changes when you unplug them then this is a mechanical defect: the small switch inside the headphone jack is faulty and keeps signaling that the headphones are plugged in when they are not.
The only way to fix that is to replace the jack, which involves a very delicate soldering procedure , one that only a good repairman can do - you must call one.
