t con board on the back of the screen will need replacing, its the one with the wires going to it from the main av board to the screen. the chip can become damaged due to heat or even come away from the board. if its working when you bag the board it could be a lose connector or the connections that is soldered to the board have come away and will need soldering back on.

if you are using an antenna for digital channels,it will search for 100 to 125 channels,if searching for the old analog channels,it only searches for 75 channels,but,you will not receive them,they are gone now,if you have a cable box,then you only need channel 3 or 4,

I have the same tv and had the same problem.If picture appears when you slowly hit back of the tv, then the solution is quite easy.1-There are 2 small lids on the back of the tv, open the one at the top with using a screw driver.2- there is a connector on the top, make sure that it is connected well. As far as I understand there is somehow a connection problem or maybe result of oxidation or something....

You might have to replace the mb on it

if older tv check caps in power supply.

screen inverter fault or could be the bulb in the screen or the inverter is self.

1 swollen Capacitors / Replace
2 blown Diodes on inverter board / on some # 508 or 908
3 bad transistors in inverter bad will appear overheated powdery coat
4 replace inverter if you cannot locate problem on it
there is a safety built into the high power back light supply and that is if too much current is drawn or light is shorted it will not burn up
or hazard high volt shock to user.
capacitors and diodes driven with power transistors
look for darkened spots on the board to identify hot transistors
puffy tops and leaky bottoms of capacitors

when you turn it on does the bottom or top of the screen show image a Milli second before the other it should be evenly the lag
is the one requiring more amperage
