t con board on the back of the screen will need replacing, its the one with the wires going to it from the main av board to the screen. the chip can become damaged due to heat or even come away from the board. if its working when you bag the board it could be a lose connector or the connections that is soldered to the board have come away and will need soldering back on.

screen inverter fault or could be the bulb in the screen or the inverter is self.

you need a pc with an hdmi out jack or use a tower pc with a card that has hdmi out

Isee so many here with no sound/no picture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checkingvoltages on the main power board to narrow down the problem.4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.Answers to issues:1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have tobuy and try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killedLook on the power supply board in the set for puffed up and bad caps like these.

I have the same tv and had the same problem.If picture appears when you slowly hit back of the tv, then the solution is quite easy.1-There are 2 small lids on the back of the tv, open the one at the top with using a screw driver.2- there is a connector on the top, make sure that it is connected well. As far as I understand there is somehow a connection problem or maybe result of oxidation or something....

The power supply is not the only thing that can cause this problem. There is a chance that the main A/V board could be faulty. Though I would put my money on the power supply. Testing the stb 5V line to ensure that its there would confirm it. I can help you test it if you have a multimeter and know how to use it.

Ur tv still have audio sound after the tv LCD screen panel gose blank?Yes,than the tv long LCD inverter board it is shorted and dead,must be replaced,mean not thing visually examination is good or no burn mark on the board,because this it not a power supply board sections dosen't draw much heat to causes any visual damages.

The green screen problem appears if analog signal is fed to a digital circuit. Since this is usally not possible externally I suspect the ADC circuits on the main A/V board have failed. Replacing the same should resolvfe your problem.

Seems have no Y-Drive, Check and or replace the Main Y-sustain board.

This problems are the tv 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards are dead.These 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards provide the tv LCD screen pannel a backlight to produce a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those refurbishes 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.

Hello Vernacamp, if you are technical you can open the unit, you will most likely need to replace one of the transformers or a capacitor on the power/inverter board. If you are not that technical you can open the back cover and you will need to replace the whole board, if you provide me the TW# located on the back of the TV I can give you the part # you will need to replace along with some websites where you can find the part. It was a pleasure talking to you on the phone. As a recap I you have a customers flat screen tv at your shop because they brought it in to you because the TV would not turn on. You have the TV, and it wont turn on even manually, you test the out put amps and all seem to be normal.

Here is my advice first, is sense the customer did not drop off the remote, it is possible, that if you get the remote from the customer and make sure there is good batteries in it, is take out batteries and replace them with new batteries and try to turn it on, if this still does not work, then this is most likely what it is and needs to be replaced, I am 99% sure if after trying the remote with new batteries still does not turn on the set, then you have a blown capacitor. If you replace the capacitor, this will most likely solve the problem. capacitors get what we call swollen, and that is cause by surges, storms shutting off power etc,,,, So, again, if remote does not work after trying this, next step is try replacing the capacitor.
