Surround will not work on proscan 26" flatscreen

This television has only one audio output. IT is a coax digital output listed as N on the back of the television.You will have to get a adaptor to use it with you portable surround sound. You Should be able to find one online. just google the type you need to the coax, and it should bring up places that sell them. If you cannot find one you can go to the PROSCAN website and use the customer support section to get help from them.You can also call them at 1-888-977-6722. Get no response from audio out to surround sound

You need to give a lot more detail about you set-up. What type of surround sound Brand name and model number are you using. What type of connections are you using with the coaxial sound output to the surround sound system.Have you tested this coaxial output on another speaker source to make sure that it is not putting out sound. You can do this with a coaxial to rca adapter and use one of the receivers normal sound inputs to see if you are getting any sound from the output of the television.You also must make sure you are using the remote controls of the two components correctly. Check to make sure the volume is adjusted to a hearing level on both remotes.Check all the cables you are using and make sure they are working correctly. I can't to switch from Air antena to Cable

Press MENU on the front panel or on the remote control and then use The up and down arrows to select the SETUP menu. Press the right arrow to enter the Tuning Band Press the right button until you find the selection you want to use in your set-up. Then Press ENTER button to select Air, Cable, Cable HRC, Cable IRC or Cable Auto.signal input for you television. If this does not work try turning off the television and unplugging it from the a/c and leave it unpluged for about thirthy minutes .Take the batteries out of the remote and leave them out for a few minutes. This should reset the system. Then try using the abouve procedure again to get the signal source . I hope this helps you with your problem. I purchased a 26'' Lcd/DVD from circut city and it has bad pixcels

You will have to be persistent in your effort to get help from them. Keep e-mailing them and calling them about the problem and asking them where you can take it in for service. Tell them that you brought the television new and have not been able to use it. Need more information about you problem. Does the white screen appear on all functions.Does any input signal like a dvd or vcr show picture. If so, then you have a problem with signal connection coming from the television signal source, like a cable or satellite box. The tv pictures is on and off all the time. Help

You need to give more information about you set-up. What type of components are you using with the television. What type of signal source are you using for reception. Cable box, or satellite box. Do you have any other electronics around the television that may interfere with the televisions signal reception. This problem could be a bad cable connection or antenna connection. Try checking the connections. Replace the cables if they look old and dirty.Try moving the cables around as you look at the picture to if the reception gets better. If it does then you are getting interference from the interaction of the magnetic fields around the cables. You need to isolate them and see if you can find the cable that is causing the interference. Check all the ground connections of the cables to make sure that they are clean and making good contact. THE VGA PORT DOESNT SEEM TO BE ACKNOWLEDGING THE

You need to give more information about your set-up for help. What type of computer are you using and what operating system.What type of graphics card. All of these systems have to be compatible with the television input for you to get operation. I found this in the appendix of the owners manual on PROSCAN website. www.oncorpus.com. The customer service telephone for PROSCAN is 1-888-977-6722 The PC Screen continually appears and disappears.
Check the connection between the TV and the computer and see if the connector is locked.

This happens if the signal from the video card is exceeded for the maximum resolution or frequency of the TV. Try to set the
maximum resolution or frequency for the TV.
See if power save mode of the PC functions properly.(This is deactivated when any key is pressed or the mouse is moved)

Proscan 32LB30Q - Troubleshooting

Costco has one of the most liberal return policies around. Simply take it back and get your money back telling them "it doesn't work" as long as you have had it less than a year. Then buy a different brand. You might try calling for customer support from the different brand before you buy.
