#7Viewsonic 37' will not power on

Open the monitor, examine the circuit boards. Look for small components that look like small cans, these are capacitors. If you see any that look bulged on top, then your problem can probably be solved by replacing these. Check out the following sites;

Follow the directions and good luck!

How to change T.V settings so that lap top

Are you using the VGA port or one of the HDMI ports? Are you using an HDMI to DVI cable? (then check if you have Single-link or Dual-link DVI; the cables are not interchangeable when you create the adapter in the cable.) Make sure the TV is on (and pointing to the desired input although it will possibly go into a power-savings mode) before turning on the laptop.

It is more likely to be an issue on the computer side. Make sure your BIOS and device manager have the video port turned on. (Many will disable the device for power-savings.) You may need to reboot after seeing a message about the drivers being loaded when the computer sees the laptop. Once the port is active, Win7 and Vista let you change the video output if you click on the Desktop (anywhere without an icon or program window) and choose Screen Resolution. Then look for a line about multiple monitors and choose how you want the monitors to display.

If you need a driver try:
http://www.viewsonic.com/products/lcd-tvs/n3735w.htm#tabbox_downloads
(click on More drivers if you have a 64-bit OS)

I hope this helps.

TV will not turn on

This is a classic switchmode power supply, shutting down to avoid a fire, explosion, or both. This set had developed a problem, that is so severe that the set must be shut down, This set should be removed from the Power, and in my professional recommendation, you should get a "Quote" for repair, from, an Akai, Approved Service Center, this point is very important for a good result, Always contact, their local, "Head Office" Now, when you get the information you want, then you can decide as to repair of replacement. The reason we want an approved agent, is that way, all the engineers are trained on their own brand sets, they have seen almost all faults, and will get the job done quicker, and for less cost, and usually have parts on hand, also sometimes, there has been a service bulletin in issued and the repair may be subsided or even free.

Tv wont turn on with the remote or the power button

Hi
There are a lot of generic remotes available. Target has them for $10.00. That should help that problem, now with the button stuck in that's a different. Someone will have to remove the power cord, open the TV back and eyeball the on/off switch. If the button has come off the pad then just push it back in. If the pad or circuit board are broken then disconnect them from the mother board and use the generic remote to turn the TV on/off.

Viewsonic not working...

Hello mike this problem could either be that your main board is faulty or the most common problem would be the power supply board which is giving you this problem, what i would suggest just to be on the safe side is for u to do a hard reset on your tv set just incase it is a tv setting problem, disconnect your tv set for a period of 4 hours than plug it back in and see what happens, if that does not work than your problem is more than likely a bad power supply board hope this helps thank you.

I need to replace the

You need a piece of hard plastic about 1"x2" about 1/8 to 1/4" thick.

On one end(a 1" one) you cut a bevel at about a 30-40 degree angle. Use this "sharp" edge to shove between the two pieces gently and pry them apart with a rolling motion. TVs, laptops, and lots of other devices use a combination of screws and an interference fit(snap together).

You can try prying gently with a screwdriver but it's very likely that you will damage the case. If you have some very hard wood that will work as a good substitute for the plastic as well.
