I would have the power supply checked, especially the capacitors!!

Jim, what you are describing sounds like a main board failure but get a proper diagnoses to be sure.

If you have tried using different input devices, looked for loose contactsin power outlet, RC Jack, cable and connectors, the TV might need service.

The part that gets damaged in lightning strikes is th e power supply board.
