What cords, besides HDMI, will I need to start
Depends on how many things you are trying to hook up but if you are going from cable box or dvd player to your tv all you need is the HDMI in most cases as this will carry the audio and the video over the HDMI cable. You may have to double check/adjust the settings on your tv and/or the cable box/dvd player.
Thank you,

I just setup my 42
Okay most settop direct TV boxes go into a coaxle connector in the back of your TV witch then your Tv would need to be on channel 3 make sure channel 3 is detected by autoscanning for it or undeleting it if its been deleted but make sure the direct tv box is on and running.
If you have them on the scant connectors make sure you on the right input on your TV control there should be a input button press that to scan through to find your direct tv box!
I hope this helps!

My tv is blinking a blue light when I try to turn it on along with a popping sound.
It sounds like there may be an issue with the power supply or internal components of your Proscan PLDED5030A-RK TV. The blinking blue light and popping sound could indicate a malfunction that is preventing the TV from turning on properly.
Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Unplug the TV from the power outlet and leave it unplugged for at least 10-15 minutes. This can help reset the internal components of the TV.
2. Check the power cord and connections to ensure they are secure and not damaged. If there are any visible signs of damage, such as frayed wires, replace the power cord.
3. Try plugging the TV into a different power outlet to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the power source.
4. If the issue continues, it may be necessary to contact a professional technician or the manufacturer for further assistance. They can diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate repairs.
It's important to exercise caution when dealing with electronic devices, especially when there are signs of malfunction such as unusual sounds or lights. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with troubleshooting the issue yourself, it's best to seek help from a qualified professional.
