Most likely it's the power supply board that went out. (part of it still works is why you get the blue LED when you plug it in.)If you decide to try to fix it yourself, BE CAREFUL! The power supply board has capacitors that can hold high voltages for many hours after the TV's been unplugged.The equivalent of sticking your finger in a light socket.You'll need the part number off the power supply to get a replacement.

Is there power to the outlet? Check your circuit breakers!

Try another set to see if does the same - if so, then it is your box. If not it is the tv. If still under warranty have it fixed before the no sound becomes permanent.

Run the scan. If that does not do it see if you can reset the electronics to default condition. Many sets have a reset switch or a combination of keys on remote to accomplish this. U might have to check on the web site if your manual makes no reference to either of these alternatives.

Reduce screen resolution when showing high res pictures.

Was a child playing with the remote? In Setup menu, check the Color level, is it all the way down?

Have you made sure your power switch ( I/O )is switched to the "I" position?
