In this you'll have an option "Search by Model" In this type X2600 without space between X and 2600 and press enter. Now you'll have an option to choose your Operating System. Choose your Operating system (Eg: Windows XP / Windows Vista / Unix / Linux OS/ Mac OS) and you'll have an option saying "Download Now" . Click on that and Save File in any location in your Hard drive. Once this is done you can either Run and install the software or Write the same in any writable CD or DVD using a burning software.

Clean the contacts

I have put in new cartridge. Printer coming up say Alignment, 1 take of tape - DONE 2 put in paper - DONE 3 press OK - DONE- then the same message coming up time and time again TRIED LOTS OF TIME WASTING PAPER AND INK - help please

I have this same problem and no solution! (I'm on a Lexmark 2400 and Windows XP.) The problem is how much ink it wastes on one alignment and NO BYPASS option - an ink cartridge is $25, we can't waste it on a USELESS test!!! They're trying to make money but let's not fall for it. We need a way to bypass the ****. Somebody heeelp.

make sure the ink isnt dry. take a tissue and put the inkjet on it. apply slight pressure, lift up and look if there is ink on the tissue. do it a few times. if no ink on tissue it is drry replace. also clean the copper contacts on printer and inkjet

It insists there is a Cartridge problem on the Printer............ In this Case take out the Paper from the Paper Feed Tray........ Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.......... Remove both the Cartridges from the Printer.......... Now take a size 10 Envelope fold it so that it should become like a thin long strip........ Now Insert that Envelope on the left side corner of the Printer and move it from right to left and left to right as fast as u can for about 10 times.......... Now Insert the Ordinary Papers onto the Printer and insert both the catridges and Turn on the Printer...... Blinking Stopped...........Issue Resolved....... Still Blinking: Remove both the Cartridges take a Paper Towel turn the catridges direction so that u can see a Copper plate with small boxes on it....... Just wipe it twice or thrice with the Paper Towel.......... Now insert it and Power on the Printer and see whether the Lights are still blinking if it is still blinking...... Contact Lexmark at 1-800-539-6275!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!

Give it a try by removing the empty color cartridge!!!!!
