no it cannot. Those multi-colored cartridge system requires that you put in every single color, AND ensure that they are not empty before they will print. Even if all you want is a black and white copy.

Try changing another new cartridge with just one you replaced.If it's working then problem with the cartridge,not then there may be a problem with the printer Logic board or cartridge detection chip.

The print head on the NX400 printer is integrated into the ink cartridge and therefore when you remove the cartridge you are removing the print head. . . Having exactly the same problem with an Epson SX515W. Did you solve it?

Um, the blue ink cartridge is not assembled correctly.

Is it a wireless printer,Bluetooth or cabled.?

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out and blocking the print head nozzles.If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages,then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

The procedure is shown on the panel you can see if you open the cartridge compartment of your TX110. However, it can take some effort to decipher the icons. It is known to work if the ink low light is on, untested otherwise.

1. Turn on the printer.
2. Press and hold the STOP button until the cartridge tray moves out of its bay. It will stop at the ink low notch pointing to the first cartridge out.
3. Press STOP again. The cartridge tray will move to show you the next cartridge low on ink.
4. Repeat until you know all cartridges out. After the last cartridge pointed to, the tray will move again and stop in the area where all cartridges can be accessed by hand.

check printer settings or document settings back ground color settings you can print a page color to any of the color bar settings so there is a setting that has been change to grey that is causing the problem

Sometimes just pressing on the cartridge on the side of the memory chip, till the cartridge says click. also make sure there is nothing is in the cartridge holder like dust or a scrap of paper so a chip can't make contact.
