The blinking WiFi light on your printer indicates either your printer is trying to communicate with your wireless network or your printer is not connected at all. For a quick fix, try to disconnect your printer from the power outlet. Power cycle your router and reboot your computer. Then, power on your router first, then your printer and lastly your computer. Check the WiFi light on your printer. If it goes to a solid green, that means you are connected back in your network. If not, you may reset your printer's wireless network adapter to its default settings. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter to Default. The WiFi light on your printer will momentarily turn off then back on solid orange. Have you tried right clicking on the device, selecting uninstall, and rebooting the computer? This will force Windows to reinstall the driver and often times will solve issues such as this.

The Z715 needs a #50 black ink cartridge and a working color cartridge to print. To check if there ios ink coming out of your black or color cartridge touch the bottom of it to a paper towel and if you see a solid black blob or 3 blobs of Yellow, blue and red for the color then your problem is else where. If U are printing stuff from the internet sometimes the printer will try to use the color cartridge to print this so even though the black is working it comes out blank if the color is dry

If you have already installed the printer software on your computer, try these steps:
Using Windows

1. Go to Start menu.
2. Click All Programs/Programs.
3. Click Lexmark 4600 Series folder.
4. Click Tools
5. Click Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility. Follow the prompts on the computer screen.

Using Macintosh

1. From the Finder desktop, double-click the printer folder.
2. Double-click Lexmark Wireless Setup Assistant.
3. Follow the instructions on the computer screen.

Try changing the channel of the printer, it's conflicting with the router.

Scanning a document to your computer may require the Lexmark OCR scan software which is only available in the installation disk. Try to contact Lexmark technical support to request for the installation disk. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.

Am guessing that you are talking about the password, (or pin number), required to connect your printer to a WiFi bandwidth that you plan on using.

It can be a password OR a pin number,and should be posted somewhere on the Wi-Fi unit itself, and NOT on the printer. Hope this helps.

To scan documents for editing and saving as PDF file, you will need to install the Lexmark OCR scan software on your computer. The Lexmark scan software (no downloadable version) is only available on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.
