I bought a cooks essentials
Sometimes gook gets in and around the buttons where you can not see..Mine does that and I have to wash the button area with a hot rag and hold the blow dryer close..The heat from blow dryer releases and melts the underlying the gook.

I need a replacement Mill/Drip
It's an old model, made in China, for which the production of spare parts has ceased a long time ago - you will not find a new lid anywhere. If you still want to spend money and time in fixing it rather then just replacing it you must look thru classifieds or repair shops for defective units, from which you could recover the lid.

Broken coffee mill/container on Cook's Essentials CEMB10TC
This is the same part as on the Melitta Mill and Brew, notorious for the same problem. They are no longer being made; you can't get the replacement part in any of the "official" channels. Somebody somewhere may have old stock. You always had to replace the entire lid, not just the latch. Most people figured out to use a mall weight to sit on top of the lid so it will work, or just hold it down with your hand until it finishes grinding. Not a great solution, I know. Sorry. I'm in the same boat!

Need to find a karafe for a Cook's essential
Search E-bay for CEMB10TC with the option to search descriptions.
There appears to be a seller (as of right now) that is selling the
carafe's for this coffee maker. No picture, but its worth a shot...
seems a little spendy though @ around $60 shipped.
If they have their part number right, this should be the carafe for the
Melitta and Cooks Essential Mill & Brew with the stainless carafe.

Broken latch on coffee grind lid
I have drilled a small hole where the latch was and put a screw in. The screw serves as a latch and has worked fine for years.

Cold coffee
Is it the coffee maker itself or the warming plate?
If it's the warming plate I would suggest geting a coffee thermos similar to the ones they have at IHOP and other breakfast places, it will keep your coffee hot all day if you first heat it up with very hot water and your coffee will not have the burned taste
Please answer if the answer works for you, thanks
