I have a 10 year

Most of the chucks that I replace are seized or missing one of the jaws. I have a variety of ez-out bits and jam one into chuck then turn with air impact(you can use an old bolt, grind to taper with groves to fit jaws, you can be creative here, then use socket with impact ) . Works most every time. I do not like to use high torque if there is a gear ruduction drive. If I feel that I may damage gears, I will use a dremel with cutoff wheel and cut the chuck down both sides to remove outer cover, then cut into threaded part of chuck untill close to thread. Insert stout screwdriver into cut and crack open whats left of chuck. Takes about 30 minutes and may use two or three small cut-off wheels. Good luck

Craftsman Drill Press chuck problem

It is unless there is a tang on the end. What you need to do is thoroughly clean the parts with something like brake clean to remove all the oil and then wipe with a clean paper towel. What I do it put the arbor into the drill press or the chuck onto the arbor and then put a 2x4 on the table and press the parts together or if you have enough room fully retract the jaws and use the block of wood to "tap" the parts to seat them. Let me know if you need more assistance

The batteries for my Craftsman 15.6 drill both stopped charging. Is it my batteries or my charging dock?

Test the batteries with a multimeter that will tell you if the batteries are shot. You can do the same with the charger, test it with a multimeter but I don't recommend it unless you know what you are doing because you will be live testing it.Ryobi belt sander https://toolinspector.com/best-belt-sander/

HI, I have a Craftsman 315-116890 19.2 volt drill. It won't run unless I jar it pretty hard. I suspect the brushes need replacing, but I can't find them anywhere. Am I barking up the wrong tree?

You can trim down a larger brush,Im not sure what type of brush this uses but you can trim down a brush using a Dremel tool with a diamond wheel where a dusk mask use a set of calipers to get size correct

My craftsman drill won't work only light flashing on it.

Battery is non functional. How many years the Battery is old? Try with a new battery. Battery is not charging to full Capacity, if it old one.

Craftsman 1/3HP drill press...should it have twine around the bottom of the motor?

no, wire maybe. Sounds like a little housekeeping is in order. motors are a magnet for loose strings.
