Jackhammer wont hammer
A complete service kit is neccesary its pointless only to change oil, including hardened o-rings and gaskets and oil seals etc. have had their working hours. it all rests on a marketing technical calculation where no user is slicing.
look for your model and a spare parts servicekit and if the neccesary tools are present you can do it on your own. the front second hammer (stroke bolt) must be air-tight the heavy battle piece must be pulled up by vacuum by the stroke cylinder and worn rings on it and everywhere and bad seals will not succeed

What kind of oil do you add to a breaker hammer?
Bosch hammers and their clones use a PAG oil - PAG oil doesn't rot the various seals. The 'official' oil costs an arm and a leg, but the same oil can be had for topping up auto air/con systems.

Why don't my demolition hammer stop hammering
Because if the power is interrupted or the carbon brushes (motor protection tripped) or had jammed or enough working hours without care. or become hot to prolonged stress that not every type of hammer is suitable for a rotary hammer can only 1/5 turn to the use of time than a REAL demolition hammer.

My Jackhammer starts for a good 5 seconds then stops but continues to make a humming sound. Can you tell me what could be wrong
Sound like a bearing problem the armature (if electric) then it could also then touches the metal of the electric field. so the armature is not in balance in the middle or the field is become loose by the vibration he then drags on the field and then there is no induction anymore. it adheres magnetically with a good humming , it is not the capacitor because there is a start direction every time so when lubrication is necessary then allways use all rings to replace because it has no target to replace one ring and it are different rings also different materials choiced on acid temperature dissipation material on any place could be different The front may have leaking air specially on the battle bolt . The right grease for a slow rpm hammer or special oil for the high rpm hammer.

Why don't my demolition hammer not hammer
It runs and has no hammer function , ?
First lock bolt is worn in the machine and also the O-rings burned or hardened by the leak and also the machine will run dry within or even broken.
See if repair is feasible, a rotary hammer is usually not feasible to service a breaker usually because they are made from other materials and also be made permanent load.
2 answer if the motor is only not running ? powercable carbonbrushes autostop in one of the brushes has activated or the switch or electronic is damaged 1 or more of the collectors of the armature are defect , or the electric field has a contact lost .
