While the time is being displayed, press and hold the button until the backlight turns on; it will automatically turn off after 5 seconds of inactivity. Thereafter it will turn on for 5 seconds every time the button is pressed. After 5 minutes of unit disuse the button's backlight feature will automatically deactivate.

The idea that you cannot change the battery yourself is nonsense. Remove the 4 screws from the back. (A size #000 screwdriver works well.)To remove the battery latch, stick a small, flat-blade screwdriver in the hole shown below:Pry the metal tab away from the battery and the latch will release.The battery is a CR2032. Note that the + is face down. To replace the latch, just push the open end back into place. It will click closed easily.When replacing the back cover, take care to make sure the seal is positioned correctly inside the groove.Replace the 4 screws and you're done!

One of the units probably needs a new battery. They bot have batteries. A year is about the time that they need replaced

Your model number is actually an F4 which you can see engraved above the CE0537 on the back of the watch.

Go to an auto parts store and buy a fiberglass kit. Resin, hardener and cloth. Clean and rough the area. apply a coating of mixed resin, then a layer of cloth. Let it dry and repeat a couple of times. After you are satisfied with that get a gallon of Elastomeric, you will find it at Lowes/Home depot. Clean the entire top and apply 2 coats with a brush or roller about 24 hours apart. No rain or moisture for a couple of days. Project complete, water proof roof.
