Siemens HF17055GB Microwave Oven - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
How do I replace the turntable motor?
Roger, lay your microwave on it's back after taking your turntable plate out of the microwave. Looking at the bottom plate you should see in the middle an area that covers your motor that should be square, a rectangle, or a circle. There usually is also a screw that is just screwed into the bottom plate. Around the middle part, whichever shape it is, there will be a series of small holes with a thin piece of metal going between the holes, get a pair of side cutters and snip the thin strips of metal and that will give you access to the motor when they are all snipped out. To replace it you usually just have to turn the plate 180 degrees and use that screw to hold it back in place. Hope this helps.

How do you open the door
see this steps and fix it. God bless you
- Open leverCheck your
microwave lever to determine if it is damaged. If it is broken, simply
replace the lever to get your microwave door fully functional again.
- Door springResponsible
for keeping downward pressure on the door hook, the microwave door
spring can begin to malfunction. If this part is broken and prevents you
from opening your microwave door, replacement is necessary.
- Door latchOne reason
your microwave door may not open properly is a broken door latch.
Located inside the microwave, the door latch manipulates the door hook
to keep the door closed for safety and top performance. If broken, the
door could become stuck in the locked position.
- Door hookIf your
microwave door will not release properly, the door hook could be
damaged. Located inside the door, the door hook is made of plastic and
prone to breakage with extended use or age. As this part is unable to be
repaired, the only option is to replace it.
- Button or button springIf
the microwave door will not open, it could be an internal failure of
the button or button spring. If it is determined that either of these
parts is the source, both are replaceable and it is recommended that
they be installed at the same time.
- Handle actuatorIf the
microwave door will not open the plastic handle actuator could be
broken. Connected between the door button and the door latch assembly,
this plastic part could become damaged and brittle over time, which
makes breaking inevitable. If this occurs, replace the handle actuator
to get your microwave fully functional again.

We have a siemens microwave and the start button
Yes. You can fix it. The problem is that the touchpad is bad. If it is a HF17055GB let me know, and I will give you the part number fro the touchpad. Or you can call locally and get the part number from a Siemans appliance dealer in your area. The new part will come with detailed instructions on how to install the part. They are not real difficult to install.

Door won't open
Chances are the rear of the door button and/or the face of the door open lever is worn enough that it will not actuate properly.
On
a counter top model, the outer cover will need to be removed to
diagnose and repair this. On an over-the-range model, only the control
panel needs to be removed.
Please unplug the oven
first.
If
you or someone you know wants to look into this, we have critical
safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link
is at our
listing here
on FixYa.
Once
it is apart, you'll be able to see how the door open button would press
against the door open lever, which would then lift up against the door
latch heads (hook-like projections on the door) and the door should
open.

happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your

Siemens oven display not functioning HB 76AU.60 A
Cockroaches are notorious lovers of microwave ovens ! If they have found their way into yours expect to find damage caused by their faecal droppings which are acidic and can destroy wiring and flat wiring connections. Sometimes a good clean can revive things, but if that fails then the only remedy is to replace the control panel. That you may find to be more costly than buying a new oven.
Before removing the cover of the oven in attempt to carry out any maintenance such as replacing the Oven cavity lamp, make sure the oven is disconnected from the power point ! The voltages in a microwave oven ARE LETHAL !
