Weiser Lock Powerbolt 1000 Lock - Page 9 Questions & Answers
Our Powerbolt 1000 will not delete old codes.
Are you certain you're programming new codes properly? It should just overwrite the codes when new ones are programmed. If you are doing it right, then I'd say you may want to have the unit repaired/replaced...
To program new codes (just in case):
Push the program button on the control board once for memory 1 OR twice for memory 2.
Enter a 4-8 digit code.
Push the lock button to end the entry.
The unit will emit a 2-second long beep if your code is accepted.
(If it doesn't beep, you were too slow. Try again.)
Repeat the process for the other memory position.

To program code #1..
Push the program button on the control board once. Enter your 4-8 digit code. Push the lock button to end the entry. The unit will emit a 2-second long beep. If it doesn't beep, you were too slow. Try again.
To program code #2, press the program button on the control board TWICE. Enter your 4-8 digit code. Push the lock button to end the entry. As before, the unit will emit a 2-second long beep when a successful entry is made.
Test your codes with the door open just to be sure.

Lock works when off door
If you mean the lock assewmbly when installed on the door does not operate correctly, the small holle drilled through the door will need to be larger eaither at the top or bottom. Take a rasp or a file to the door to remove so much material and see if the lock works freely.
