50ML8105D/17 Dies, no LED's nothing. Must unplug to reset.

Chances are you have some failing capacitors in the power supply board, you can change the board or fix it yourself for a couple bucks if your able to solder.

Magnavox 32MD357B - TV won't stay on when first turned on

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Dirty spots on screen of Magnavox 50 in projection television

Debris that collected inside the TV had magnetic properties and when you blow the dust around some tend to collect on the inside of the screen. Do not touch that screen with your hands, or try to wash it. The inside has a special coating to enhance the projection image. Once damaged, it needs to be REPLACED. Try a NEW clean Swiffer and lightly brush away dust particles. Do not use chemicals or dusting sprays.

Why does my magnavox 52 inch dlp make a fairly loud humming noise for 10 minutes or so after turning the tV on? It gradually get quieter.

It is likely a bad fan that gets quiter as it warms up from use. There are two fans on that TV - one under the bulb housing and one at the left vent hole. They are special fans with three leads - +, - and an RPM indicator (yellow lead typically).

Magnavox troubleshooting

This problem is typically caused by one or both of the cooling fans in the set going bad. The fans are located under the bulb housing and on the side of the set at the left vent hole. You can check the status of the fans by using your remote to access the TV's set up menu as follows: Select "source" on the remote hit the "up" arrow twice hit the "down" arrow twice hit the left arrow hit the right arrow hit the left arrow hit the right arrow At the setup menu select the item that says something like "thermal status" or "thermal properties" and look at the speed of the two fans. Properly working fans will have a speed of 1500 RPM or more - they should be close to 2000 RPM. If the fan speeds are less than 1500 RPM this will cause and overheating problem and they should be replaced.

My Magnavox smart tv remote doesn't have a smart button how do I search the web? I have wireless internet

Smart is a word often used to suggest a device does more than other devices. It does not imply it can go on the net by just pressing any button. You first have to setup everything, as the manual will explain. Don't trow away the manual and ask someone else you don't know, to write the pages you need to setup anything.

Magnavox tv lost pause, rewind buttonstv problems

This simply sounds like a "remote address" problem, in other words--the remote is not assigned to the set. If this is for a DVD or VCR, you might have to assign that function before they work--by pressing the "dvd" or "vcr" button before they work.
