does this mean you don't get any display on the monitor?
If there is no display on your monitor, there are few things that could cause this:
- The VGA Cord
- System Memory
- VGA crad
- System processor, etc.
Check this components that I have mentioned and let me have a feedback.

Mostly the case there Might 2 Issues (1) SMPS the power supply is not working ( 2) mother board is faulty.

Your Dell has an Intel GMA 3000 onboard with up to 256 MB shared memory and isn't listed so probably isn't supported.
Computer don't boot, it make noises from fan and
there is defect on ur motherboard..
u system is forced to take a load of system failure...
ur system is hanged from boot,,
open the casing and reinstall the cpu fan and the processor...also do the same for ram

Turn off the system
Disconnect power cables
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
Reconnect power cables and try to turn it on.
Let me know if you get any beep sound
I want activation code for vista
I sure love easy questions. This isnt really a question though. "I want" seems to indicate a DESIRE for an activation code. I also have a desire for 3 or 4 copies of Vista for my preschoolers computers. But I cant afford it. The solution though is to go buy it.
Sometimes you can find computers with the codes already on them. look on craigslist or ebay for junk computers with the codes. Sometimes you can find codes cheaper that way then actually shelling out the 140 bucks for a copy of Vista
