It is software loading related. It could be you need to reload the machine firmware, replace the hard drive or the RAM.

sc546 is a fuser temperature detect error. One or both of the thermistors most likely need to be cleaned or replaced, but you will have to go into service mode to reset the code once you do that. You should contact your local service technician or Gestetner dealer, as they can easily fix that problem.

Most likely this is a hard drive failure. This is especially likely if your machine has the network print and or the document server and fax options installed.
If you let it sit with "Please Wait" long enough does it ever come up with the wrench light or service code?

on the screen there should be the letters ''SC'', followed by numbers.that code will tell what the problem is.

Open the front door and close it and check if the display reads loading toner. Try this for 3 times.
If Add toner indicator is still there, check that you had removed the black cap of the toner, before you replaced the toner bottle.
Remove the bottle from the holder and check inside the neck of the holder if there is something blocking the toner supply. (sometimes the inner plastic cap of the previous toner is stucked in the neck).
Check and clean the toner bottle holder unit.
Another problem can be worn gears in the lower development unit and within the dev. bias roller.

Fuser error (warm up error). Needs to be repaired, then the code can only be reset in service mode.

Usually the Drum and the cleaning blade must be replaced together. Hope you done this already, if not replace the cleaning blade.
The problem can be in the fuser unit. Pleace check and replace the Hot roller, thermistor and HR strippers as a set and also the pressure roller bushings.

open up your printers and faxes window from the control panel. select add a printer. select a local printer option(first one)hit next and then select create a new port and select standard tcp/ip port. hit next a few times and there will be a promt for the printer ip address(find that by printing a configuration page on your printer and make sure you have auto dhcp turned on or auto on from your printer. input the ip address in there and then load the divers when they promt you. make sure you hit have disk then browse to where your driver is downloaded to and select the .dll file and you will be good to go. make sure your router is assigning auto ip address's.

You can't. As I said you need the service engineer with the laptop. These Office Machines are NOT consumer serviceable. They hook up the laptop with the Ricoh software and it interrogates the computer, the mainboard and everything on it. Hello Christopher Are you in the Philippines? I notice that your copier has changed from Ricoh to Gestetner? We are a North American website. This is a commercial office machine, and from my experience of them is that on the right side you will see on the inside, a list of instructions for where to check for obstructions. It seems you have already done this 8 times! Frustrating! Try this; Open the right side cover, unlatch all the bits at that side. Open the straight pass door on the left side. remove ALL the paper drawers. Get a powerful flashlight, look in all the spaces you have just created, especially at the edges of drawers and paper pathways. You are looking for a tiny piece of paper that one of your employees carelessly left behind after a paper jam.The one I found was right at the back of the straight pass door. When a sensor is covered, it creates that message. If that fails, Ricoh will have to come and attach their Laptop scan software to it which will tell which sensor is obstructed or has failed.
