Compresor does not start
Rosita,
There could be four reasons for it not to work.
1. The compressor is not getting any power due to a faulty connection (very likely) at either the compressor or the other end.
Or
2. The compressor is burnt out. To check this if you can smell the typical enamel burning smell if you smell the compressor then it needs attention. Else, it is the connections.
or
3. They relay that starts and stops the compressor by cutting the power supply to the compressor may be faulty.
and
4. The rheostat that you change the temperature with, may be faulty.
And all of these need a service person's services. Please do that.
How long does it take to make ice on a new fridge.
You should have ice by now.there should be a reset button the ice maker try and hold it till you see the ice maker advance. also make sure that ice maker is turned on.If these steps do not correct it set it up for service since it is new.
Ice maker problems
Hello,
Take off the back panel in the freezer. 1/4" screws. Use a nut driver or ratchet and socket with an extension.
2. Behind the frost is the evaporator and the defrost heaters. One heater in the middle and one at the bottom. They are glass tubes. If you can see the bottom heater that is great. If not use a hair dryer and defrost only the very bottom to expose the lower heater only.
3. Now in the refrigerator section at the top where the controls are, take off the long plastic piece to expose the timer. The timer should be on the right hand side and have a little circle that is slotted. Get a flat screwdriver and turn that timer slowly clockwise just until it clicks and the refrigerator turns off. This will put it into defrost.
4. Now look at that heater that you exposed and see if it glows and gets hot. If it does, then the timer is bad.
5. If the heater doesn't come on then go ahead and defrost the rest of the evaporator with the hair dryer. This will take a little while. Don't poke at the evaporator!!!
6. Once totally defrosted look at both heaters. They should look like clear glass and see a silver coil running thru them. If they look discolored at all then the heaters are bad. The heaters come as a complete assembly with the defrost thermostat which clips onto the evaporator.
7. If the heaters look ok the only way to know for sure if they are bad is to check continuity with a meter on the plug at the end of their wiring harness. If you can check that then you can splice in a new defrost thermostat to solve the problem. However the best thing to do is replace the heaters and defrost thermostat . It is easy to install.
Follow these steps and this will solve your problem.
Good luck...
RS253BAWW Samsung Side fridge water leak
I would not be too alarmed about this. Most refrigeration systems will
drip water off of the condenser coils while in use. This can most often
be seen by cars that appear to "leak" only when the a/c is on. All that
this "leakage"is is condensation. This is the same reason that window air conditioners need to have a slight downward tilt to the outside. This is also why they unfortunately, often freeze up.
If you're only noticing leakage while the refrigerator is running then I would bet even money
that this is what's happening especially if the refrigerator is still
staying cold. Most normally this condensation is caught in a drip pan
which lets the water evaporate. However, during periods of extended
use, especially with periods of high humidity i.e. the summer,
sometimes the condensation is higher than what the drip pan can hold
and you get leakage over the sides.
Unfortunately while this
is a relatively minor problem about the only way you are going to
eliminate this is to install a dehumidifier in your home, or simply
tolerate it for a month or so during the summer. I would bet dollars to
peso's that after mid august this won't be a problem.
One
thing to note however, is that if you start to see that it is running
constantly, or if you notice that it's not keeping cool, then it may be
time to call in a service person. But for your particular problem I
don't think that will be necessary.
Actually a pretty common concern... second time in two hours I've seen it. :D

How to Defrost Refrigerator Defrost Timer Problem
Water Running in refrigerator from Freezer

I accidently left the freezer
If the freezer empty it might take an hour. If there is product in the freezer it will take longer depending on how much is in there. If it does not cool down. Your evaporator coil may be iced up from trying to cool the freezer all night. To fix this problem just unplug the box and remove all the items from the freezer and leave the door open for a few hours to defrost the the coil. After this everything should be fine. I hope this helps you. Please leave feedback. Thank you.
Refridgerator just stop cooling...it got
Hi,,
Insufficient cooling is a fridge repair job that you can do without the help of a professional. Often the fridge has a frost-free failure, or the compressor is faulty but there are many other reasons for a fridge not cooling properly.
Step 1 – Find the Problem
Your first job is to locate the source of the problem. Consider each of the following:
* Gaskets - Make sure the gaskets/seals are not torn and are sealing properly.
* Evaporator fan – Make sure it is working. If it is now working you may have a problem with the fan motor. Check for power to the motor and also examine the fan switches around the door (not all fridges have these switches).
* Air damper – Sometimes the air damper will not open up to allow the cold air from the freezer part to blow into the fridge section.
* Condenser coils – Check to see that the condenser coils don’t have a dust build-up and that the condenser motor is working.
* Compressor – Make sure your compressor is working with on and off clicking noises.
Step 2 – Frost-Free Failure
This is the most common cooling problem in fridges. Expose the evaporator coils by accessing the panel in the freezer section. The coils in the freezer section can sometimes get clogged up with frost. This can stop the evaporator fan motor from blowing cold air around, or cause the fan to hit it and stop, or become noisy. The defrost timer can be a bit tricky to find but it is usually located behind the back bottom corners of the fridge, although they can sometimes be found in the ceiling of the fresh food section, or behind the cold control cover.
Step 3 – Find the Timer
When you find the timer, turn the wheel-like screw slowly with a screwdriver until the fridge shuts off. The refrigerator is now defrosting. If you find that the fridge starts now, you will need to replace the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer.
Step 4 – Volt Test
If the heaters do not come on, use a volt meter to ohm test the defrost heater or volt test for 120 volts to the heater. You can bypass the defrost thermostat if you haven’t got power to the defrost heater to check if the defrost heater will come on. To bypass the thermostat, join the two wires together. Replace the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer if the heater comes on now.
If there is a ticking or squealing noise in the defrost timer, or it seems hot to touch, replace it.
Many fridges have and inline fuse on both sides of the defrost heater. You will need to replace the whole heater if one of those fuses blows. Check these fuses with a volt meter if the defrost heater doesn’t work.
A quick check if you have a cooling problem is to inspect the evaporator coils. If there is a build up of white snow on the coils, this indicates a frost free problem; if there is balled ice on part of the coils with the rest bare, this indicates a system problem, like a problem with the pumping compressor.
Hope this helpout......
