Kindle fire will not charge-got a new charger and it still will not charge- does it need anew battery and how do I do that?

- Hard and soft reset
Make sure the Kindle is turned ON.
- Press the Power button for 20-30 seconds until it turns OFF.
- Wait for it to reboot, if it doesn't press the power button to turn it ON.
- Your kindle should be back to a responsive state.

Contact Amazon help desk. Log on to Amazon; next to search bar is Your Account. Roll over and click on your account from the list. Next page on right side you will see kindle help home. Clich that and fill in info. They can answer back with email or by phone. The system routes questions to expert in the area needed.
Kindle wont shut down screen froze
Press and hold the power button for fifteen seconds or so, ignoring the "Shut down?" prompt, until it turns off. Release the button then press and hold it for a second or two until it starts to reboot.
