Invacare Arrow power wheelchair, display
If you have made sure that the freewheel levers are in the drive position and after turning the power on and you are still getting the barke error then the motor and brake assembly will have to be checked by a tech and possibly have to be replaced There is no self fix for your problem Sorry Hope this helps you
Will gel cell batteries work
Sure they will but according to MK batteries good AGM atteries will perform just as well and for less cost. And thats probably why they told you that. They don't want to incur the higher cost because Medicare will only pay so much for the replacement batteries. Hope this helps you
I can not reach the
Mike
Leave the charger cord plugged into the back of the chair and wrap the cord around the right armrest near the joystick. You can then plug it into a power strip located near your bed from the seated position. It won't hurt to have it near where you can reach it Just make sure that its secured when not being used and won't fall off the armrest Hope this helps
Yellow light blinks 9 times
The problem is bad communication between the joystick and the conroller or power module. By replacing the jostick cables you will see if that fixes the problem. Check with your provider (where you got your chair) to see if they have an extra joystick cable or can loan you one from a chair that they might have. Now there are 2 cables one from the joystick to the base of the chair and one from the base to the controller either could be bad but try the one to the joystick first Hope this helps
I have a pronto 2003
The error code means one of three things. First it could mean the batteries did not charge up at all. Next is unlikely ,but it also means too high of a charge voltage. The code also comes on when the charger is plugged in to charge and you turn the joystick on. The chair protects itself from driving off with the charger cable plugged into the wall outlet. One more possibility exists, the onboard charger could be bad and bad batteries. You need to have a trained electronic tech check this out.
I have an invacare Pronto M51 Surestep power chair
If you have had swing away footrests on this chair you can replace them with model PHW93 and must ask to get them in red when you order them from a wheelchair store. If you dont know where a store is that sells Invacare products, call Invacare customer service at 800-333-6900.
My husband tried to put
Judy He has to disconnect the joystick cable and then pull the seat off the post raising up the seat turning lever and twisting and pulling upward on the seat at the same time. It can be hard because the seats are heavy and can be rusted. Just keep pulling and turning at the same time Once he has the seat off he can remove the cover over the batteries and disconect the cables going to the batteries and the large connector going to the power pack. Reinstall the new batteries just like the old ones replace the cover. Put some axle grease or vaseline on the seat post reinstall the seat plug in the joystick cable and you should be good to go Hope this helps
I was riding in the
Sorry the joystick doesn't like rain or coffee or wet conditions and you will have to have it replaced. Next time carry a wally world bag with you and put it over the joystick to keep the moisture out. you can still steer and use the buttons through the bag Hope this helps
I have a m51 chair it has less than one hours use
Nick Might first thought is that you have a brake problem well not so much that its not working as that the brake pad is stuck because of little use. Over time moisture can get the brake pads sticking to the motor case and it will cause the motor to get hot trying to turn. If Medicare paid for Mom's chair then they will pay for most of the repair. You can contact her provider(where she got the chair) or one of the 2 repair services that I list in other posts Hope this helps you
The left wheel will not
You can't You will have to replace the left motor/gearbox/brake assembly. The controller checks that you have a good signal from the brake and will not move if it doesn't get one disengaging the brake will not remove the fault and the chair will not move. If Medicare paid for your chair than they wil pay for repair. Contact the provider that sold you the chair and ask if they can repair it or contact Repair Express @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to see if they can have a tech come out to repair your chair. Hope this helps you
