When asking a question it's helpful to select a product from the dropdown instead of just typing in a specific product name. That will make sure that you have selected the correct product.

In many different locations throughout the Fixya website, there is a manual section placed on the pages. You can drag and drop from your computer or click the button to upload a manual.

Legal characters are characters which are accepted when posting on the Fixya website. If you are receiving an error about illegal characters it means you are using characters found on the keyboard (such as symbols) that Fixya does not accept. This can sometimes be caused when copy/pasting from word processing software which can insert incorrect commas, apostrophes, or even hidden characters.

Make sure to type your question directly into the box and make sure to try and avoid strange symbols or characters.

If someone answers your question, you will be notified in a few different ways.

  1. Email Notification
    You will receive an email that will let you know you have a new answer and can view the answer provided in the email.
  2. Site Notification
    When returning to Fixya you will see a notice at the top of the screen that will alert on whatever page you arrive to let you that a new answer is available.
  3. Homepage Notice
    When you sign in you will also see a new listing under All Activity on the homepage.
