Does anyone know how I can set up explorer 8 to auto refresh my page and can i set the time between refresh?
Maybe this will help "http://download.cnet.com/AutoRefresher-for-IE/3000-12512_4-10293579.html" download it and use.

Having IE8 installation problems, tried to install IE 8 today and it failed. Now IE7 also doesn't work.
What can I do? I just want to be able to use IE7, so I can surf, how do I do that?
use silent switches to install IE8 "setup.exe /quiet /update-no /norestart"

Running Vista 32 on HP Media Center PC Core 2 w/4 GB ram.
I just installed Internet Explorer 8 and now when I launch IE8, Norton complains that there is a problem with Norton Status. Open the Norton panel and you see Identity: At Risk and Phishing Protection: At Risk.
I have run the Auto Fix several times. It does a scan, says Check for NCO ADD ONS, running fix, updates Phishing Protection to Secure, repeats the scan, and says NCO Add Ons Check, Status: Fixed. But, when I launch IE8, it once again complains as before.
The last time I ran Auto Fix it also reported a fix in Check Symantec Services default start up type and state.
Guess the fix does not last too long. Any suggestions?
Symantec/Norton has actually done a very good thing. You can update to Norton NIS2008 for FREE.
It solves the phishing problem and is a greatly improved product. CCSVCHOST.EXE does not run continuously and there is a resource meter to show what CPU usage Norton is taking. Scans are faster and web page loading is instantaneous.

internet explorer error code 0x80300113
Step 1:
This error usually occurs when the date and time in the your system
does not coincide with the actual date and time. Check if your system
clock time is set according to your timezone.
Step 2:
If the time is set according to the timezone and yet does not
connect to the Internet, I'd suggest you use the Ethernet cable and boot
your machine insafe
mode with networking and check if you are able to connect to the Internet.
Note: Make sure you have a wired connected while performing safe mode with networking.

I recently installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and each time I close down a tab I get an error stating " Internet Explorer has has stopped working. A problem saused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solutions is available."
After installing IE8 on vista I kept getting msg Internet Explorer has stopped working - continually looping thru this message.
Solution for me was.
End IE with task manager - needed to do a couple of times.
Then from control panel -> programs -> manage addons I disabled all add ons and then IE started OK. Then by process of elimination stated enabling add on until failed again.
In my case it was the skype addon that was causing IE to fail. Leaving it disabled has allowed IE8 to function.
