I was able to change the batteries, but it will only go backwards is there any fixes?

The problem comes probably from the front switch. You might try to dismantle the loco and check the switch. A tip to open the loco: there are two hidden screws accessible from the inner bottom side. able-change-batteries-but-will-only-go-kq1qrvxr24imymdlun3n2qdr-1-0.jpg

Changed batteries in Brio train (mighty red locomotive) and still does not turn on. It was used for about an hour and stopped working abruptly.

I had the same problem with one old locomotive. There are three things to check:
  1. the main power slide switch is set on the rigth position
  2. on the bottom of the loco, there a small red bump, it is perhaps blocked in the pushed position
  3. this one was the solution for me. Dismantle the battery cap and make sure that both metallical parts are in contact.

Where is the battery located in the engine?

They are two AAA micro batteries.Insert a cross-tipped screwdriver into the funnel of the engine, unscrew completely and the black nose comes off, revealing the batteries.

How to change the battery in train 512

Hi Tarja, your question is 4 years old, but here is the answer:You've probably seen the odd shaped tiny screws on the underside of the train. Ignore them - they require specialized tools and only lead to the wheels and gears. You just need to insert a small cross-tip screwdriver into the exhaust funnel of the engine and remove the screw completely. The black front of the engine comes off and reveals AAA micro batteries which you gently shake out of the engine and replace. As ever so often - once you know how to do it, it is very easy. And - no, I didn't find out myself either *grin*

My granddaughter has about a dozen Brio

Alas, the traction drive on these Brio locomotives seems to have a pretty short life. According to a Brio rep, the only hope is to indeed give it a good firm solid whack down onto a hard surface (table or floor) in an attempt to get the internal pressure gears to settle down and get more traction. There's a 50/50 chance it might work. There is no other solution. Attempting to open it up will create a mess because it's almost impossible to get all the tiny loaded springs back into place. At least the lights and sounds still work, and it can be easily pushed around the track--it just will no longer do so itself...

Brio Mighty Red 512 - Battery help

Easy to do. You'll find a small phillips screw located at the bottom of the black smokestack. After unscrewing it, lift up the entire front black part and you will see two AA batteries inside the body of the locomotive. Careful not to strip the screw when replacing the black smokestack part, as it is the only thing holding it down!

I don't have a Brio triangular screwdriver

The battery is easy to replace. The screw is located in the black "smokestack" and will require a small size phillips-head screwdriver to unscrew. The rest is easy--lift up on the black smokestack (I usually leave the screw in place), and the two AA batteries are located end-to-end in the body.

I want to make a necklace for my sons wedding with pearls but they are so small and delicate I am not sure what thread will work with it?

Pearls often have very small holes. You need to use a natural silk thread or another very fine thread. It really depends if you plan to knot between pearls, if so that will affect your choice of thread, so make sure you get advice from a beading expert before you buy.

I need 4 springs for under blades for a pro tech cs6007 contrator series planer

you can find replacement blades (also known as knives) made from a special V2 alloy (high-speed steel) on the MyWoodcutters website. Each set includes 3 HSS blades specifically designed for the CS 6007 model. The cost for a set of 3 blades is $61.50 to replace the springs for the under blades, I recommend checking with a local hardware store or contacting ProTech directly to inquire about availability.. For other parts or accessories, consider exploring online marketplaces like eBay.
