Tip & How-To about Kenmore Elite HE4 Electric Dryer

SAVING TIME & MONEY $$$

To reduce the suction draft and drying time your drier and save some cash, remove the lint catcher and take it to the sink. Run water into it, if there is excessive pooling of the water (water not running straight through) then fabric softener is fouling the lint screen. Use a small brush and dish detergent to clean it and then shake off all the water and dry the screen. Remember this tip on future driers and you will make the dryer blower motor last much longer and save some $$$. :?) DRRXR

Miele T358C dryer. water not being pumped out of the sump??

In some cases cleaning the condenser out and drying the unit well will allow the unit to function again. Once a month you need to empty the condenser unit, it is normal for there to be some water in the tubes when you do this, you then have to flush the condenser by pouring water through it in either your sink or tub. Make sure that there is plenty of room around the drier for air circulation; and empty the water container often or reconfigure your pluming arangement to reduce the water left in the container. The circuitry of this unit it sensitive to high humidity and can cause the unit to not function properly. So with condensing dryers you have to work on keeping them clean. Let me know how it goes. Dryer

Your going to have to remove the back panel and then access the filter air chamber. Or get a couple of strong fellows and have them un plug it and then flip it over and bump it a few times and hope it falls out. Dont reast its weight on the control console. Best o Luck

my dyer is not turning. it makes a noise like the motor is trying to turn but does not have enough to do it. my husband took it apart, belt seems to be ok, but when he took off the top he can spin the drum which gets it started for a small load

Either the motor windings have too much electrical resistance or the start windings are shot. Replace the motor and install a new belt while your at it.

maytag gas dryer

Two highest probabilities are that the belt is worn and slipping on the motor pully or that the motor is drawing too high of amps, working too hard, wore out. Also if there is excessive lint in the internal air chamber this can also be a problem. To reduce the suction draft of your blower remove the lint catcher and take it to the sink. Run water into it, if there is excessive pooling of the water (water not runnig straight through then fabric softener is fouling the lint screen. Use a small brush and dish detergent to clean it and then shake off all the water and dry the screen. This wont really fix the main condition, but it will not hurt. Remember this tip on future driers and you will make the dryer blower motor last much longer and it will lower your energy consumption.
