HP does not have software or driver downloads available for your computer with Windows 7. HP provides software and driver updates for the operating system that originally came with the computer. Changing the operating system on your computer (upgrading or downgrading), puts the system into a configuration that might not work with the hardware design. If you you must change the operating system, get drivers from the manufacturer of the component you need. For example, if a computer has NVIDIA video hardware and was upgraded to a newer version of Windows, someone would go to NVIDIA's web site to download and install an updated driver.

INSTALL THE CORRCT VGA driver through the non corrupt CD. and reboot

Using HP Update Follow these steps to open HP Update and check for software and driver downloads:

1. Click Start , All Programs , HP , and then click HP Update .
2. In the Welcome to HP Update window, click Next . HP Update now checks for the latest updates from the Web.
3. If new updates are available, make sure the check box next to each update is selected and click Next to begin downloading and installing the updates. If no updates are available, click Finish . Getting updates from the maker of the software or hardware Many companies provide free software updates for their software products. HP and Compaq computers come with a wide variety of hardware components and software titles provided by HP partners. When you see your screen pixelized, it may be a hardware issue, but before concluding it as a hardware related, I request you to try downloading and installing the latest video driver software and if you wish you can even update your computer with latest BIOS update from the concerned website.

After installation, please restart the computer as the changes made will be updated once you restart the computer.

If the issue persists even after installation of BIOS update and Display driver software for your computer, now it can be concluded that the issue is hardware related and your screen has to be replaced with a new one.
