No power

First perform battery test and make sure that your battery is producing the cranking amps to turn starter over. If battery passes battery load test, check and make sure that the battery terminal connecting ends are clean and tight. Check ground cable and make sure that the connections between battery to engine block and frame are good as well. Make sure that the battery connection going to the starter is tight. If that checks out okay, then you may have a bad starter solenoid. Hope this information helps out.

My 97 Pathfinder won't turnover. It clicks, it gives one push but then does nothing. It starts when I jump it and after it's charged for a while, but when it's been sitting it's like t

could be poor connection from battery to battery cable terminal. take off both pos. & neg. battery terminals, clean & reinstall, making sure there is a tight connection. if the cables are loose (even just one) or if the battery cable seems degraded with corrosion, they should be replaced. could also do a load-test on the battery... it should stay strong under load, and shouldn't drop to below 11 volts under load. if it does you have a bad battery, even though it may seem good otherwise.

i have a 04 sedona. back in july the van didnt start so it did with a jump. after that it started when it wanted to so i replaced the starter. today it dont start tryed a jump got nothing. pt it in nuetruel with a jump and it started. could it be the saftey switch or the linkage or something else?

Could be a miss aligned switch try wiggling the shifter in park the next time it dose not start to see if starts. Also dirty battery cables will give you the same crazy makes no sense problems. Clean both the post of the battery and the cable ends and make sure they are tight. Your car needs a completely charged battery (14.2volt at the ignition) to start, were as the radio and other electronics, locks, windows, etc. only need a few amps. .

car wont start

Sounds like bad connections on battery cable. Usualy corroded wire at positive side by battery terminal. Also load test battery to check for internal shorts. Make sure all grounds are clean and tight and that all ground straps are intact.

automotive 87 ford ranger 4 cyl hard starting battery neg post heats up

the reason your negitive cable is hot is because of a bad connection remove it and clean or replace it .
heat is alway the sign of a bad connection.
