Many front load washers can have problems with the door
either not unlocking or the door getting jammed. If you do not know how to get
it unlocked manually then you will have to call a repair person to so it for
you. This is a fairly simple procedure if you know what to do and where to
look.
To make the job a bit easier find a block of wood like a 2x4
or a 4x4, tilt the washer back and set the front of the washer up on the block
or blocks.
Now take off the bottom front panel of the washer. There are
a couple of screws at the very bottom that need to be removed. Then tap on the
panel while pulling down and it will slide right off.
On the right hand side reach up inside the front panel to
the latch assembly. Grab hold of the tab on the bottom of the latch assembly
and your door will open.
If your door keeps getting stuck then you may need to
replace the door latch assembly.
See that was easy and it saved you some $$.
