remove top

Hello- You will actually need to remove the front in order to access the 2 screws holding down the top. Unplug the machine before doing any disassembly. To remove the front panel there are 2 screws located near the bottom of the panel on each side. They are hidden by the bevel on the panel and located under where the panel angels in about 4" from the bottom. Look under that bevel and you will see the screws. Remove these and pull the bottom of the front panel towards you and up, the panel will hinge from the top and once you get the bottom up high enough it will drop free of the top. To hinge loosen the top there are 2 bolts located under the top where the side of the cabinets meet the front of the top panel. Once these are removed the top hinges up and back. There is a hose, tube, that comes from the bleach dispenser that you need to pull off from the bottom of the dispenser, there is usual no clamp on this at the top (you will see it on the front right side when you pull the front off). Hope this helps, best regards.

Most likely a motor coupler issue. Unplug you machine before starting this repair. Remove the two front end caps on the console (they snap out towards you). After removing the twp caps, you will see 2 console hold down screws down towards the bottom of the console. Remove these 2 screws, then gently pull the console towards you at the bottom, then lift the console up and over the top of the unit. You will see 2 gold looking clips, pop these clips out from the top of the cabinet, then remove the lid switch wiring from the rear of the machine (just snaps in and out). Rotate the entire cabinet (top rear of cabinet will rotate towards you) and remove. Near the bottom front, you will see the motor and pump assembly. Unsnap the pump and swing it out of the way (you do not need to remove the hoses), you can hold it in place with a long screwdriver, rope, etc. On the front of the motor you will see two clips being held in by screws. Remove the screws, then pop the two clips. The motor will now be free. As you remove the motor, you will see 1/3 of the motor coupler. The other part is a round rubber piece, and another that will looks just like the part on the motor (remove the transmission half by using a screwdriver from underneith). After you remove them, installation is reversed. Lightly tap on each motor coupler, in the center ONLY, with a long extension and a 9/16" socket. Part number for the motor coupler is 285753A, and can be purchased from a local appliance parts store (prefered), an Ebay item (also prefered, but a liitle wait on shipping) or Sears.com (not prefered, high mark-up on parts and shipping, takes a bit to get as well). Let me know if you need further info. Jim
