Is your Logitech Harmony Remote stuck in SAFE MODE?

If you upgrade / update the firmware of your Logitech Harmony Remote, your remote will no longer be in SAFE MODE.

To upgrade or reapply the firmware on your Harmony remote:

  1. Launch the Harmony remote software and log into your account.
  2. Click on the Downloads button at the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Click on the Firmware button. Follow the onscreen instructions to upgrade the firmware on your Harmony remote.
  4. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, click on the Update Remote button.
Your Logitech Harmony has now had its firmware updated, and is no longer stuck in SAFE MODE.

what is "Safe Mode?and how do I get this off my remote? It is completely not working. The Activities button is light up and it simply says Harmony Safe Mode.

1. Remove the batteries. While holding the 2 button down, connect the USB cable. The remote will boot into normal mode.

2. Update the firmware. Update the configuration. If you are unsure of how to do this, please see below.

4. Remove the batteries from the remote. Manually place the remote into `Safe Mode` by holding off and plug in the USB. Upgrade the firmware in the remote. Update the configuration (Update your Harmony remote).

Logitech Harmony 670 remote stuck on Safe Mode. How do I get out?
