Tip & How-To about Exercise & Fitness

How to calibrate a Vision Fitness Treadmill - Residential Models

If you are not quite sure about the speed/elevation of your machine you can perform the following to test/correct your Vision Fitness treadmill.

1. Remove safety key and then replace
2. Hold the elevation up and speed down buttons until it beeps 3 times
3. If you see the model of your treadmill on this screen make sure you hold enter and then you will see "eng1"
4. Use the elevation buttons to scroll to "eng4" and hold enter to select
5. you should see the word "auto" on the screen at this point
6. Making sure you are not on the treadmill at all, press start.

The treadmill will go through a few tests to determine the maximum and minimum of both speed/elevation. You can see the results on the display as it is performing this test and if there are any discrepancies the machine will adjust the settings to make the appropriate speed/elevation calibration.

If the test passes it will display "end" and from here just remove and replace the safety key. You should notice a difference in the speed right away.

The E6 error code means that the signal from the elevation is lost.

E6 Solution:
1. Check the elevation plug connection at the lower board.
2. Check large data cable connection at the lower and upper boards.
3. Calibrate (See engineering mode for specific treadmill)
4. Test/change large data cable (use large data cable information provided in the data cable portion of this Guide).
5. Replace elevation motor

I have a vision T9500 treadmill. My husband was recalibrating and it got stuck in the highest position and is displaying E5 in the window. Any ideas how to get it down?

hi,
Try AUTO-CALIBRATION first. For that do the following.

With the safety key in place, turn the treadmill ON . Press and hold SELECT. Now you can perform auto-calibration by pressing START.

(The treadmill will run through minimum and maximum speed and elevation. This will take 3 to 5 minutes. Let the treadmill perform this complete function. "END" will appear when auto-calibration is complete. When auto-calibration is complete, it will take about 30 seconds for the treadmill to reboot and return to the start-up screen)

If it doesn't help then the motor control module is faulty. You have to replace or repair the motor control module.

OK
