Tip & How-To about Kenmore HE2 Plus Front Load Washer

F06 error code. Its not what you think

Had F06 error usually when the washer went into spin cycle. Followed all tips on different sights. No real concrete solutions to my problem. Sense my problem was intermittent I ruled out the motor. I started looking at my MCU and found my heat sink was really hot to the touch. I slipped MCU out of wash machine still electrically connected and put my window fan on MCU while operating and washer worked perfectly. I the went down to Radio Shack and picked up a 115v CPU fan ($20) and installed on my heat sink. Just splice fan wires to MCU power wires (wire connector w/ the 2 largest pink wires). Mount fan creatively to heat sink (tywraps, hot glue gun, however) . I saved $150 and the heartache down the road. I think this a common problem for that MCU. Hope this helped.

Kenmore Front Load Washer won't complete cycle F06

Have you cleaned your machine lately? They make an in wash boost- it gets rid of the extra suds built up inside the machine that you cant see but your machine detects it and causes faults such as that. Also, there is a small wire on the control board that may need replaced if it keeps kicking the error code.

f06 and washer stops spinning , must keep restarting

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F06 in your whirlpool duet indicates that the control is unable to properly detect the motor speed and so the washer shuts down. This usually occurs during high speed spin and the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the wire harness connections between the Driver motor and the Motor control unit (MCU). If that is fine then check the connection between the MCU & central control unit (CCU), replace the part that has gone bad. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

my duet ht front loading whirlpool washer goes through a complete cycle then during the spin and drain ( the last cycle) it displays a f6 notice and will not complete the cycle, you cant get the wet clothes out either because the door is locked. You can try to reset the cycle and nothing happens.

Often fails to execute spin cycle with error F06

THE F6 MEANS THE CONTROL IS NOT GETTING A READING FROM THE TACHOMETER ON THE MOTOR. CHECK THE CONNECTIONS FROM THE MOTOR TO THE MOTOR CONTROLLER,(THE CONTROL BOARD MOUNTED TO THE BASE).
