I want to change mail classic old view

Yahoo! has recently made over its email client, Yahoo! Mail. The old standard Yahoo! Mail Classic look has been replaced with New Yahoo! Mail, which offers most of the same features but looks different and is organized differently. Yahoo! Mail users who don't like New Yahoo! Mail, or who simply like Yahoo! Mail Classic better, can switch back to the classic view easily.
Step 1. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account
In your web browser, go to the Yahoo! Mail home page (http://mail.yahoo.com). Sign in to your account using your Yahoo! ID and password, then click the yellow Sign In button. Once you've successfully logged in, you'll see your email folders on the left and the What's New and Inbox tabs in the middle.
Step 2. Choose the Mail Classic option
On the upper right side of the page, there are three links -- Mobile, Options, and Help. Click Options, and when the drop down menu appears, choose "Mail Classic..."
Step 3.Confirm that you want to switch back
A dialog box will pop up with two choices -- Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic and Cancel. If you're sure you want to switch, click the first option; otherwise, choose Cancel to keep the New Yahoo! Mail. (If you wish to provide feedback about Yahoo! Mail, you can click the feedback link in the dialog box, which will open up a new window.)
Depending on your computer's speed and your Internet connection, the switch may take several seconds. When it's completed, you'll be looking at the old familiar Yahoo! Mail Classic interface.

I hope you're satisfy with my answer.

Have a good day! : )

I hate the new Yahoo mail -- I want the old mail back. I cannot use categories to send out email notices to my groups without having to check each individual. There is no option button along the top of the...

In Contacts tab, you can easily create a new List. Give the list a name, and then drag whicvere Contacts you want into it. When you start a new mail, you can enter the List name, and every Contact in that List is automatically added.

Yahoo has specifically disabled the "return to classic mail" link on the New Mail interface. This is to discourage people from going back, as the old mail interface may eventually be removed completely, and all users will be forced onto the new one.

Here is the explanation page from Yahoo Help:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/migrating/fromclassic/mltamnoswitch.html

However there is a possible workaround to get back to Yahoo old mail. Open your browser (Firefox 5) and go to Tool-->Options-->Content, and UNcheck the box marked "Enable Javascript." This will disable Javascript from running in that browser. Then try to log into your Yahoo mail account. You should get an error message from Yahoo that your Javascript is disabled- ignore that, and continue to log in to your Mail account. Supposedly, you will be given the option to return to the old mail interface. If that occurs, go ahead and log in. You should then go back and re-enable Javascript, or your mail, and many other websites, will not function correctly.

Let us know if this works.

Hi, I've just had to move from using Windows Live Mail to using Yahoo for my mail. Is there a way I can create folders to store my mail under different topis eg. finance, Amazon orders, letters from...

Yes there is. Log into your yahoo mail account and on the left side side of the page, bellow the default folders (Inbox, Spam etc.), there is a tab called "Folders". Just click add there and you will see a new folder. Then all you have to do is move your e-mails to that folder.

I made a typing error when creating a mail category. Is there any way to edit the category?

I assume that you mean the list of folder which you can create to organise your received emails. At the top of the list of folders, you will see links for "Add" and "Edit". Click "Edit" and this will bring up a list opf your folders with "Rename" and "Delete" links against each one.
Click "Rename" and then type in the new name for the folder.

NB Your computer may block the script required to allow you to edit the folders. If nothing happens when you click "Edit", look at the message bar near the top of the page, and click where it says "click to allow to run script" or similar words.

Error code 40402

[Solution # 1]
You will need to go to your Yahoo! Email Account and delete the contact's name there first.

1. Click Contacts from in the toolboxt to open.
2. Go to the contact you wish to remove and click the box next to it.
3. Go to the top of the list and click the Delete button.

Go to Messenger. When your list of Contacts opens, right click next to the name you wish to remove and select Delete from the drop down menu. The contact will be removed here also.
Error Code 40402 pops up when trying to remove a name while in your Yahoo Instant Messenger list first.

[Solution # 2]
Quit the program, then delete the contents of the “Cache”-folder located here:
c:/program files/Yahoo/Messenger/Cache

That usually solves a lot of problems, that occur all of a sudden. Try that and see if it works

[Solution # 3]
most probably a registry error - if you do not have a registry cleaner try downloading the free version of ccleaner from filehippo
once its downloaded select 'registry' from toolbar on left hand side and run 'scan for issues' followed by 'fix selected errors' if errors are detected
use microsoft 'one care' for further check

Hope they could help you
Good luck
