Hello
& Welcome to FixYa If
the water fills fine then the problem is with the temperature switch that is
bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other
questions. Kevin
Please check this service/repair manual for your washer to replace the switch.
That is the common manual for MAV series
You are welcome :)
I believe it is the switch but you can test it as per the manual, if that is fine then recommended repair will be replacing the board.
You are welcome, if it was helpful then giving a 4 thumbs rating is appreciated :)

Is it a FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW machine? Sounds like it is. I believe you have a Control Board issue; the Control Board has a 5yr warranty. Do you want to DIY a fix or call in a Appliance Repair Tech? Have you reset the 120VAC power on the machine? If not give the Control Board a hard reset by pulling the washer power plug for 10 seconds or so and then re-power up the machine.
I’ll attach the Service Manual link located on this site for reference. See if you can get into Service Mode, try this.
To enter Service Mode, this from the SM.
Enter / Exit Service Mode
To enter Service Mode press the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys simultaneously for three seconds or until the control beeps. The Console display will show “00”.
Access Board Output Test by pressing the Delicates key. The console display will show “ot”
The lid lock will lock and the Quick Wash LED will be lit. Will the machine allow you into Service Mode? If not then it’s time to replace the Control Board. Press the Off button to back out of Service Mode.
Let me know what direction you want to go. Rich

Make sure the hoses are connected correctly to the water valve on the machine. The connections will be marked with an "H" and a "C".
Given they are correct, most current washing machines have and auto temp feature on the water fill. It allows even cold water settings to bring in some hot water to make sure the water temp is hot enough to efficiently disolve your laundry detergant. The preset temps are usually around 75* for cold, and 105* for warm. Hot water comes in at whatever temp your household water temp is.

you need to call your parts store or the factory number in your book, give the model and serial number to them and order the console, the touch pad is damaged and they sell you the whole top console on the washer

Water level fill fine and both hot and cold water are turned on. Is the temperature switch hard to replace?
My model number (MAV7650AWW) is not listed on this manual.......do you have another manual available?
Thanks
Do you think it is just the switch or could it be the analog control board??
Will do thanks again.
Very helpful. Quick response time. Thanks
