I have a Toshiba 43H71 Projection screen TV. While watching the tv last night, the tv suddenly lost power and the power indicator light began to blink (constant blinking, no specific code seems to be evident). We unplugged overnight and tried again this morning. Any idea of issue, cost to repair, etc. We like the set but want to make a good decision on repair or replace.

GIVE IT UP! I have just spent 4 hours researching parts for my 43H71 and they are NOT AVAILABLE so even if someone can tell you whats wrong, nobody can fix it. I called TO-SHITBA and asked them, they referred me to 2 suppliers,that are Toshiba parts distributors. They can't even supply a whole motherboard!! All I am looking for is the 3.95 ohm resistor (which by the way is probably what wrong with yours to) that is located right where the power comes into this model, its has a tolerance of .5% that's right a half of a percent. It is not made and you can not buy one, so out of curiosity I asked of they had the WHOLE motherboard........guess what? NO! So don't waste your money taking it to the shop, cause these people are the SHOP SUPPLIERS! I am going to buy a 3.9 ohm resistor with a 5% tol.(five) if it works I will let everyone know. I have nothing to loose at this point, even if it fries the rest of the TV set.......If you are a techie, and have an OHM meter, take the back off and chck yours. Mine is a complete OPEN, I would be curious what yours reads. With that low of a resistance it shout read almost as a short........NOT an OPEN

On mine I found an OPEN resistor at power origination point, (location, silk screened on the board is r898)Toshiba P/N 24002000, I have called all over the USA today and can not find ANY Toshiba parts available for this model,(positively not component level parts)absolutely not a resistor, so I asked for the WHOLE motherboard, it's not available either. These were suppliers that Toshiba told me to go to.......any ideas?

I have the same problem. Just happened today to me.
I have the same problem. Tv was working great last night went to turn it on today and all I get is a red blinking light at the power button...HELP!!
Mine was similar but we did not lose power. The color was fine, but the screen got all wavey like the picture was underwater. We turned it off and now when we try to turn it on there is not picture, the power indicator light just flashes red. Is this still the convergence ic? Where do I find replacements?
