SOURCE: Printer won't print labels

Try resetting the printer:
Note: it will erase all network settings.

Turn the printer off, press and hold the GO button, turn the printer back on, continue holding the GO button for at least 10 seconds, but for fewer than 20 seconds. After the Go, Attention, and Ready LEDs turn on, release the GO button. During this process, the Attention LED will turn on, the LEDs will begin to cycle, and the unit will perform a cold reset until the printer returns to the Ready state.

NOTE: If either the Go or Ready light turn off or no LEDs turn off before the GO button is released, repeat the process.

For PCL XL error: try to reinstall the printer drivers.

PCL XL error Error: InsufficientMemory Operator: EndPage Position: 152856

Add more memory into your PCL printer -- each printed page is produced by your printer processing the PCL (Printer Command Language) commands. The page that you are trying to print is "too-complicated" for the printer to generate, giving the limited amount of RAM currently installed in the printer.

Or, reduce the complexity of the page that you're trying to print.

Toshiba PCL XL error

The printer which was having this issue is Toshiba 6520C which is running the PCL6 driver. I didn't want to mess about with the driver.

However we also have Toshiba2330C on site.

The issue was only occuring when printing from internet explorer another page was being printed with an error "PCL XL ERROR".

The problem was only on the Toshiba 6520C.

Fix - needed to tick "enable advanced printing features" which was not on.

Start - Devices and Printers - Right click on printer - Printer properties - Advanced Tab - tick "enable advanced printing features". Please note you may need to do this on the file print server.

I have an HP Color LaserJet 3800 printer. I am trying to print a document and it keeps printing: PCL XL error Subsystem: GEDI Error: MemA L LocError Operator: ReadImage Position: 743

That means that the printer does not have sufficient memory tp [rint the document, if it is a text document (eg word) try to print pages in groups, if it is a different document try the following:
" I receive a 'PCL XL error' on my HP 4100mfp when making a 2 page copy as one page in duplex? Why?
The problem is related to a printer memory problem.

If following parameters are set in the HP 4100mfp you will receive and 'Insufficient Memory" error.
1) In 'COPYING' the 'IMAGE QUALITY' is set to 'BEST'
2) In 'ORIGINALS' the 'CONTENT' is set to 'PHOTO'

Following error message is printed:

PCL XL error

Subsystem: GEDI
Error: InsufficientMemory
Operator: EndSession
Position: 32

The solution is to set 'CONTENT' to 'MIXED' or 'TEXT' or set 'IMAGE QUALITY' to 'NORMAL' or you can add additional memory to the HP 4100mfp. "
