Battery charger Hi all - dumb question maybe...I just purchased a second-hand Coolpix 5400 from a camera shop, with accessories but without the original box or power cord for the MH-53 battery charger.
I am trying to get the battery charger to work, but to no avail. I already had a couple of figure-of-eight power cords, so I tried to use those with the charger. But the charger appears dead, the charge light is not lighting up with either of them.
Do I need a proprietary or a specially-rated figure-of-8 power cord for the charger to work? Or am I right in thinking that the problem is with the charger itself?
