Tv will not turn on, no green light or anything. The tv makes a weird noise coming from the left side when looking at the rear, it appears the noise is coming from the "pulse indicator" it gets very warm and have seen a little smoke coming from this area on the board, please help, thanks.
You need a new flyback. Its a very easy repair you need flyback 259296 and you can get a new replacement at the following link and they explain step by step how to replace it. Heres the link

I have no clue as to waht youre refering to by pulse indicator. Can you take a picture of it?
I thought that was what you were refering to. Thats the flyback, and yes flyback number 259296 is the replacement flyback for your model. This is a picture of the flyback circled in red
if youre refering to the large Transformer coil, thats the SMT transformer, if you go to that link and leave them a email and tell them you need a SMT Transformer for your model, I am pretty sure they have them.

ok thanks, what about the pulse thing on the board that was smoking?? won't that need replaced? it appears the part number on my flyback is 20051218 does that make since? can you test the flyback
my bad, its not called a pulse indicator, it just says "pulse" on top of it, its on the same board as the flyback. does that part number work for most rcas? because my tv is a HD52W59xy39 and it appears the number on my flyback is "20051218"
heres the pulse deal i was talking about, its right in the middle and it says "pulse" on it. its directly left of the flyback on the same board. this is where the sound was coming from and the smoke.
hopefully it shows up this time
.......
My tv does not make any noise it just does not want to turn on. This Maybe happend 3 weeks ago. Do i need a Fly back as well ? or may be a new lamp ? Because i have had this tv for 3 years and never had problems till now.
Please help.
I have the same problem almost. The only difference is that there's no smoke and only electrical buzzing. Any suggestions?
on the bottom of my flyback the solder is burnt looking in 3 of the places. Could this be what is causing my fuse to blow?
