Question about LG 42LH40 LCD TV

LOOKING FOR A RESET TV TURNS OFF & OFF EVERY 10 SECONDS OR SO INTERNAL SETTING GOT MESSED WITH. LOOKING FOR A MASTER RESET?

the LG 42LH40 TV will turn off then back on , REPEATING PROCESS .this was drived from INTERNAL CHANGES MADE BY UNIVERSAL REMOTE AND A CHILD.2009 YEAR TV WAS MADE, ILL CHECK ABOUT AUDIO ! THOUGH I BELIEVE AUDIO DOES WORK!

TV turns Off after every 10 seconds shows some hardware problem and it does not look any wrong setting issue that can be solved with Reset.
How old is this tv and do you get sound in tv while it power up for 10 seconds.

TV should not have such settings inside that makes it worthless, turning on-off continuously is not any kind of feature but a problem.
I'm thinking about tv power supply board that would be defective and causing the problem.

First I would try to reset it. With it off, hold the power button for about 5-10 seconds. It should either reset, or tell you to press enter to reset it.

I have a One for All Universal Remote control URC-3605B01 and I need the code for a Magnasonic MCT2053 television.

The code for Magnasonic televisions is 1164.

If that doesn't work, you can also do this.

1Turn on the component you want to program.
2Press and hold both the button for the component along with the power button until the light comes on and stays on.
3Press the play button every 5 seconds until the device turns off. A bank of ten codes is being sent each time.
4Press the rewind/reverse button to see if it turns off/on again. Wait 2 seconds and press again until it turns back on. You may have to do this up to 10 times until it searches through the bank of ten codes sent.
5Press and hold the stop button until the light goes off. This saves the code.

Just set it to factory defaults first. Setting it to cactory defaults, will reset all the items except picture settigns. Parential password will also be get resetted. You have to set it later. To reset the TV to factory defaults, do the following.

[1] Push Menu button and select Setup.
[[2] Select Reset To Defaults from the drop down window.
[3] Push OK button.
The TV will reset to factory defaults and will display it. After that it will switch ON again. Ok

It wont transmit wireless and i need to restore the defult settings it is showing no modem light or internet after i messed with the setting

Since you want to restore the router to its default settings the best way to do that is to press and hold the reset button of the router for 15 seconds using a pen or paper clip while power is ON and then after that power off the router for 10 seconds and power back on and then its already been reset to default and you need to reconfigure it back.

Have you tried a master Reset?, if you have the Manual please refer it or go to settings/initial setup/master reset ( this will restore the phone to factory settings) , it will ask for a code "000000" is the default code.

I found the manual on the internet, you can just copy and paste into your browser to download a copy for yourself if you like.

Here is the simple way of doing it:

0) Turn on TV.
1) Press and hold the TV button, light lights up, continue to hold.
2) Press and hold the power button, light turns off, keep holding both buttons down until light comes back on, release both buttons, light stays on.
3) Point remote towards TV the entire time you are programming.
4) Press and release play button, wait 5 seconds, if TV did not turn off press and release play button again wait 5 seconds. Repeat until TV turns off. (When your TV turns off, it was in the last 10 codes sent).
5) Press and release Reverse button, wait 2 seconds, repeat until TV turns back on.
6) Once the TV turns back on press and release Stop button.
7) Your Remote is now programed! Test it by pressing the power button, volume, mute etc..

Denon AVR588 receiver auto shuts off

You may reset the unit to factory setting. Hold buttons "Speaker" and "SpeakerB"and turn on power switch. Release buttons after 5 seconds. You will loose all your setting and need to do configuration again.

No I am not using a hdmi input. This problem exists within the unit itself. I am unable to manually turn on the Televisions internal speakers. they are currently set to off and are not highlighted within the menu to be able to turn them back on. I hope this helps. thank you!
