After using my microwave oven 3+ minutes it shuts itself off - clock everything goes blank - it acts like it is not getting any electricity. After awhile, a 0 will show up in the display window. Then it will work again. Any ideas? My Maytag microwave oven (Hood) is model MMV1153BAW. I have replaced the fuse thinking it had blown a fuse the first time, but if you wait 30 - 40 minutes, the 0 will display in the window and it will work again without replacing the fuse each time.

There is a fan inside that blows air across the electromagnet that cooks your food. It gets hot! The fan is most likely broken or spinning to slow to keep the electromagnet cool enough. There is a thermal sensor on the electromagnet to shut off the oven if it gets to hot to prevent it from catching on fire or melting everything inside the oven control area.
Sounds like the control panel. All the other parts are just brute force parts and either work or they don't. Over heating components on the control board are the probable cause.
1) this occur to due some connector need tightneting or resoldering in the board.(coolder joint) 2) for repair component you need to remove from kitchen unit. 3) look for another wires connector loose, and see if there are some component burn. and repair. God bless you

my spacemaker xl jvm 1650 microwave shuts down after just a few minutes of operation and after a few minutes needs to have a clock/time/day etc reset. is this reparable by a homeowner?
