If it is Windows Based OS, Try to Uninstall and Reinstall with latest version 11.5. Even if the problem continues, The Problem is Virus and You Install McAfee AV 8.8
If it is FEDORA / LINUX Platform, i recommend you to reinstall using RPM files.
Sounds like the installation of Opera is corrupt. If you saved the installation file, reinstall it. If not, go to their site and download the latest version and install that one. If it tells you there is already a version installed, it may ask if you want to uninstall it. You do. If it has a problem installing, you may need to uninstall it thru Control Panel>Add Remove Programs if Win XP. If Vista, the place is Programs ....
