We have a Kenmore Elite Quiet Pak 4 Washer that we have had for 5 years. It has been flashing F11 and DL back and forth for months. We had a tech come out (not sure he knew what he was talking about) and said the main control board was bad. How can we get to the main control board to look at the part # and order the right part for replacement.

The symptoms are pretty specific for the F11 code on the Whirlpool Duet front loaders and clones (Kenmore Elite and KitchenAid):

If the washer starts to fill but the drum NEVER moves, your MCU is bad

If the washer runs through most of a cycle and then gives the F11 before (or during) a rinse or spin cycle, then you have the CCU relay problem.

DL means door lock error. The code is consequence of machine stopping with F11 code.

F11 is motor tachiometer error. If the motor is OK the error is often caused by a defective motor control module. Here also an alternative theory.

Try disconnecting power by tripping circuit breaker or by disconnecting power cord. If the error comes back when you restart the cycle, then the appliance must be tested and repaired as explained above.
