I have the same problem with 3 motherboards ML350 G4: I connect de powersupply to the backplane, all the fans starts, the row of leds on the mobo begins the check secuence with green status but ends with the third led. Then death: nothing happens when pressing the start button. I swap memory, processor, backplane, power supply, on/off button and nothing. any ideas? Thanks for responding!

I plug the 2 connectors from the top of my mobo, with 24 and 20 holes, to the backplane.
I insert a powersupply in the backplane.
I connect the frontal buttons panel to the mobo
I conect the system fan to the mobo
I put 1 ram and 1 processor with heatsink on the mobo
The mobo is outside the chassis on the table, connected to a monitor
nothing more is connected; the hd controller card is out.
I think this configuration must be enough for a "good" mobo to start post something on screen.
I dont see the power jack at the right side end. All backplanes ands powersupplys are 220Volt
Im afraid that i must bury the 3 mobos :-(
    anyway, thx for ur answer!

Have you already connected both power jacks to your board? It's motherboard needs two supply of power. One is near the cpu fan and the other is at the right side end. Check also if the power supply has the same value as your power outlet. Low voltage can still cause this king of problem. 220 Volts - 220 Volts, 110 Volts - 110 Volts. Hope this could help a little friend. Have a nice day.

Have you checked your monitor first to other computers try to connect your computer monitor to a friends working computer and see if it is working. One or two motherboards can be defective, but the third one, tat taa, thats imposible. Just try if your computer monitor works before doing anything else. That is the last piece we didn't check yet. Keep in touch for analyzing that can be time consuming, but i'm willing to help you as far as i can. Good day keep in touch, i'll wait forthe outcome.

ML350 G4 will not boot. System was running but became unresponsive. Powered down using power button. Now no response to pushing power button. No Leds lit anywhere. Fans running on power supplies.

Try pulling the hot swap Power supplies, push the power button hole the supplies are out to discharge power, then put them back in again and try the power button again.

Hp Proliant ML350 g4 will not power on. System was on but not responding so used power button to shut down. Now no response to pressing power button. No LEDs lit anywhere. Fans running on power supplies.

sounds like the motherboard has gone.... you could try changing the PSU and popping out some of the ram boards to see if that helps. but with the symptoms you've said, i'd say its the motherboard.

Hard Drive Activity LED
Connecting pins 1 and 3 to a front panel mounted LED provides visual indication that
data is being read from or written to the hard drive. For the LED to function properly,
an IDE drive should be connected to the onboard IDE interface. The LED will also
show activity for devices connected to the SCSI (hard drive activity LED) connector.
Power/Sleep/Message waiting LED
Connecting pins 2 and 4 to a single or dual-color, front panel mounted LED provides
power on/off, sleep, and message waiting indication.
Reset Switch
Supporting the reset function requires connecting pin 5 and 7 to a momentarycontact
switch that is normally open. When the switch is closed, the board resets and
runs POST.
Power Switch
Supporting the power on/off function requires connecting pins 6 and 8 to a momentary-
contact switch that is normally open. The switch should maintain contact for at
least 50 ms to signal the power supply to switch on or off. The time requirement is
due to internal de-bounce circuitry. After receiving a power on/off signal, at least two
seconds elapses before the power supply recognizes another on/off signal

Good luck

Asrock N7AD-SLI Motherboard LED

The fans and indicators working for a sec would normally mean that your power supply is Ok. This flash of current must trigger a switch in the mobo to start the boot process. This is not happening. The RAM is a principal player here if it does not connect the memory to the processor nothing will happen. Assuming the RAM is correct and has worked faultlessly before, remove and clean the teeth with an eraser. This prob can also be caused by the VGA card not connecting. Usually alarms sound if your mobo speaker is connected but that depends on each mobo. These are basic steps that usually start machines that have been inactive for a time or have recently been exposed to high humidity. There could be other faults...............

I can't find where the connections of the front panel are on the motherboard or where they go?

The eMachines T2893 desktop computer uses an Inte G845GVSR mobo. (MOtherBOard)

Intel Support>D845GVSR>Motherboard Manual,
(Intel's name - Product Guide),

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d845gvsr/sb/cs-008823.htm

I would like you to left-click on the top file.
Click right on - Product Guide - PDF, in blue.

(File name underneath it is -
File Name: D845GVSR_Product Guide_English.pdf )

May take up to 30 seconds, before you see the first page.
(You will be staring at a blank screen until the first page comes up. The file is downloading in the background)

Took 5 seconds before I saw the first page, and an additional 12 to fully download, using a medium speed DSL connection.

The Front Panel header on the mobo is shown on Page 31. (C on the illustration. J9G1 on the mobo)

The Front Panel connections are on Page 32.

Barring that you cannot download this PDF file, or do not understand the manual, I will detail the Front Panel header connections.

Orienting the motherboard so we are both looking at it the same way;

The Processor is at the top, the ram memory slots are to the right side of the mobo, and the white PCI slots are to the bottom.

There are three PCI slots. The one closest to the Processor is PCI 1.
The one closest to the edge of the mobo is PCI 3.

To the far right of PCI 3 is the Front Panel header.
It's the header located closest to the Right side of the mobo, and the bottom edge, and is directly below the
CMOS battery.

There are two rows of pins.
Four across the top, Five across the bottom.

The top row of pins are numbered Evenly.
The bottom row of pins are numbered Odd.

Starting from the Left side of the mobo, going to the right, on the Top row,

Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8. (There is No 10)

Starting from the Left side of the mobo, going to the right, on the Bottom row,

Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

A) Pins 1 and 3 are for the Harddrive Activity LED
If you have a wire with a + sign on it (Positive) it goes to Pin 1.

B) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED.
(Pin 2 to the Green LED lamp, Pin 4 to the Yellow LED lamp, if applicable with your computer)

C) Pins 5 and 7 are for a Reset switch. (If applicable)
(Pin 5 is Ground)

D) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch.
(Pin 8 is Ground)

E) Pin 9 is for the +5 Volt power.

(You are following Anti-Static precautions, right?)

Have any questions just post in a Comment.
