1. De-install any existing audio driver from the hardware device manager, if possible.
2. Download and install the VIA Vinyl AC97 sounddriver HERE.

No sound is coming from my computer and speakers.my mother board is intel

Hello
I thihk the problem you are experiencing has to do with the sound card.
1.Switch off your system.get a screwdriver that suits your system, loose it carefully and remove the suond card.

2.Clean the sound card properly cos it might be dust infected and check if it is placed correctly.

3.Look or smell around the soundcard for any sign to see if it might be burnt,If its not burnt place it in correctly and couple back the system.

4.If it is burnt or does not work after you have coupled the system then you might need to replace the soundcard.

Went from a Dell Dimension 8250 to a Dell Optiplex GX280

Check for updated drivers and install if available. If that does not resolve the issue completely remove the card and any software and drivers and do a clean install with the new drivers

Audio volume keeps changing by itself

No, the headphone output is designed for 2 speaker output. Just recently I had a customer who had no sound coming from the desktop speakers yet the headphones worked just fine.
I believe that your model has a sound circuit integrated into the motherboard. It may have a “plastic cap” covering the audio ports (next to the USB ports). If you remove the sound card and enable the integrated audio in the BIOS, you can check to see if the sound card is actually the problem.

FoxConn SoundCard Removal

take the side off your computer to gain access to the sound card. Then look on back to see which card has the speaker plug ins then take the one screw out of the sound card on metal plate connecting it to the computer box. Then slide it out. Then put it all back together again. and restart.

Sound divice

Ok the problem is this......

Obviously you have a soundcard installed on your computer , but your computer does not recognize it....what you need is the "driver" for your sound card. The driver is the software that allows your computer to recognize and communicate with the hardware (your soundcard in this case).

So , what you need to do is download this: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_dtlViewDL.jsp?soid=1603902&moid=1700045&rpn=PSAD0U&BV_SessionID=@@@@0857572739.1222955529@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccfadeffmfjdegcgfkceghdgngdgmm.0&ct=DL&all_docs=false

That is the software for the soundcard , simply download it and launch the file...it will setup everything for you and give you your sound back!! If you have any trouble installing it feel free to leave a comment here and I can assist you further!

Cant get sound

the movement to another place was not the cause of lost program. you just have loose contact, try to remove the sound card then clean then reinstall if you have. if you are using the on board soundcard, check your phone jack if you inserted to the correct one. green is the default and pink is the microphone's default
