I have a power but dryer wont start after i push start button. i can hear the click sound after i push the start botton but doesnt start.

hi check the belt maybe broken or if you just hear humming maybe motor. dose it heat at all? jim

If the click is on the relay then check on the power to the motor, If there is power and it wont turn , the motor can be defective. But if there is no conectivity from the contactor then the controller relay can be faulty.
It will be good to inspect your observations before we can confirm on the exact point of fault.

The clicking sound your hearing is in the gas valve and or ignitor that are located near your dryers motor. It sounds as if you have a problem with the motor or motor switch itself. This can be repaired but the repair most often requires the replacement of the motor itself.

Some start buttons do not click. But it sounds like maybe the door switch.

Could be a broken belt if you hear motor, also can be defective door switch. you can try pushing door switch with finger and press button If motor does not make a sound and pressing door switch does nothing you will need a volt meter and test for power if you hear moter then its broken belt or jambed drum. Try and manually move drum

There is a start relay on the computer control board. You probably hear a very dull click. That click is the relay on the computer board trying to engage, but it won't and therefore your dryer won't spin and your board sends a beep and perhaps an "E11" error code to the LED display (Not sure on Kenmores.).

In plain english, you have a bad control board now and will have to replace it. Cost about $130.

Check the door switch. With the door open, on the upper right side of the tub opening there should be a little lever. Push on it and you should hear a click sound. If the lever is broken or no click sound, you need to replace the switch. If that checks good check your circuit breakers and power cord and outlet.
