The flashing orange light could be the indicator to tell you that your wireless adapter is working and has a connection to your routerput phone and usb cord in the lap top to - icon1.png, if you are not wireless, press the button that is flashing and it will disable your wireless connection,to turn back on press it again.
Or there is another smaller orange indicator which tells you you are runing on battey and it is in need of charge

When i put the USB cable and connect to the LAP, its not getting charged. How can i solve the problem? do i need to install any software?

Hi - when you say "LAP" I assume you mean laptop or notebook computer. Some computer USB ports do not have sufficient power to charge (or operate) devices like cellphones, GPS, large external hard drives, etc. You may be able to charge if you disconnect all other USB devices that aren't needed to run the computer. In order to get around the problem without having to do all that, either purchase an external charger for the GPS (which may be fairly expensive) or purchase a powered USB hub.

An external powered USB hub looks like a traditional USB hub, except for the fact that it has a power cord to connect to your home power outlets. The power cord will often look like AC adapter. The powered USB hub is ideal because they provide additional USB ports, are fairly inexpensive, they provide all the power for the USB devices that are connect to them (the computer's internal power supply is not used) and it can power or charge devices connected to them without needed the computer to be powered on. Simply plug the USB hub into a USB port, and AC power source - then connect the devices that need a large amount of power to the hub's USB ports instead of the computer's USB ports.

The parts included with powered USB hub (clockwise from left): USB hub, USB connecting cable and AC power adapter.

Many powered hubs will work without the power adapter - however they will supply power to the devices connected from the computer's internal power supply.

I hope this helps and good luck! Please rate my reply. Thank you.

One of the bad things that happen with lap tops I have observed owning them is they do get hotter than usual, they make a lap USB fan for them which since I have recommended to all of my clients there seems to not be as many issues with heating anymore. Lap tops are designed with protective measures in the BIOS when built to shut down then they get to hot.
A good feature so the cooler your lap top runs the less it will shut down. Also go into the power options settings when you reload and set this to the factory settings and only change the power side that is when it is plugged in only leave the battery settings where they are. I hope this assisted you. Fix this before it becomes a serious issue. Thanks for using FixYa for all your questions. John

When I push the power button to power the lap top up the light display that says outlet power changes from green to amber and the laptop will not power up.

try removing the battery and just use plug power only if it boots normally then change the battery and the change the power supply unit as well I would just start with the power supply unit first then see if the battery charges up if not the battery is bad replace it. Now if the computer will not start with the battery removed then you have a power supply issue.
Change and replace it. Hope this helps. Also when computer lap top get hot they will shut down to protect the computer wait and let it cool down then try to restart your computer. If this does work and the lap top restarts normally get a fan cooler that is USB powered and the lap top sits on top of it. Also make sure the fan is running and is not stopped. Clean and dust it out once in awhile. I hope this assists you with your problem. John

Stuck on usb downlode mode

Take the battery out of your phone so it shuts down. put the battery back in but do not press the power button. plug in the usb cord to your charging input on your phone. next plug the usb end into a usb port on your computer. make sure your internet browser is open. phone should automatically turn on and reset itself. If it does not come back on then press the power button. If this also does not work then you will have to flash your phone or find someone that can

you can use any USB cable, there is nothing specific about any particular brand... now the computer has to recognize the phone. You need the software/driver.
