KLV 40S200A Our iron had a problem last night and a fuse popped. The TV shut down to and wont come back on. The poer light flases red. What can I do to reset? Steve
If you watch how many times the light flashes and then relay that to your local authorized sony repair centre they will tell you what is likely wrong with the TV. Have you unplugged, left for a couple of minutes and re-plugged?

Google "Capacitor bulge" and then search Youtube for your make and model to see if anyone has done an instructional video. You'll need to be comfortable dismantling the TV and be able to use a soldering iron. If this isn't you then take it to a repair shop.
GOT SAME PROBLEM NOW IS THERE A FUSE WHERE POWER CORD PLUGS INTO THE SET ON THE BACK MINE HAS A GLASS FUSE NEXT TO THE PRONGS THAT COME FROM TV YOU HAVE TO USE A SCREW DRIVER TO POP IT OUT SHOWS A PIC OF IT IF YOU DON'T SEE IT DON'T TRY TO POP IT OUT
I had a similar problem with my 42 Inch Philips 42PLF5432D/37 LCD HD TV. It would turn on but then shut back off after about 10 seconds. Then it wouldn't turn on at all. The problem was a bad capacitor. Several bad capacitors. They are inexpensive and fairly easy to replace if you don't mind digging around in the back of your set and soldering some new ones on your Power Supply Board. Or take the less inexpensive route and look for a whole new Power Supply Board. Good luck. Hope this helps.
The flashing red indicates that either the fileter cover or the lamp cover is not installed correctly. If both are installed properly and secured, the unit will require service.
